I love that the back of each book is a glimpse into the alternate reality. Creepy doll, stalking bird, spider, it's a recipe for a trip to creepyland. And King delivers in both books!

TheNextBook @fern I'm going to go with you and say Desperation. The plot on that one was tad more coherent (Tak!) but I still thought the Regulators was good. @LeanneAslin Right?! It's crazy! But these are good. I thought it was cool of him to do the alternate storyline using his psuedonym. 7y

DuckOfDoom Did you like the book? I read it a couple of years ago and thought it a bit weird and was not really happy with it, but I am thinking of giving it another chance 7y

JustTrish @DuckOfDoom I loved it but it did take awhile to get into. Mieville can be difficult it takes so much concentration just to figure out what the heck is going on! 7y

The Gunslinger | Stephen King

So today's #octophotochallenge #booktober post is the perfect time to announce my December #reread of the entire Dark Tower series! Yep! I am going to tackle the entire series, all almost 4,000 pages of it, in a little over a month. The movie is coming out and it may be the "sequel" to the series and honestly I really love this series and want to experience it again. Let me know if you would like to join the ka-tet in December!

GoldenGirl I completely loved 11/22/63 and devoured it in less than a week the first time I read it. Under the Dome, however, was a different story....of course, we'd been watching the show before I ever decided to pull it off my shelf and try to read it! 8y

That was our first time back since Diagon Alley opened. @Texreader I absolutely love it there. We lived in Orlando for a while and I went a few times then and then we went back in 2015. I could seriously live there. I would never be unhappy! 8y
