Another classic chunkster that I thought deserved representation is Middlemarch, a great story for Victorian fans!

I don‘t do well with chunksters, so joining in the read along of this book earlier this year was a good decision. I‘m so glad I read it and it‘s such a great read. At 806 pages, it‘s the biggest chunkster I‘ve read.

Jamesmelvinmitchell It also took me a while but I was glad I persevered. 6y
TrishB Great pic 👍🏻 6y
Ms_T After seeing various posts about it, I bought the audiobook. Looking forward to getting stuck into it! 6y

erzascarletbookgasm @Caroline2 I have W&P on my shelf, don‘t think I‘ll be reading it anytime soon. 😬 I hope you‘ll get to read it this summer! 🙂👍 6y

This was a book where the film actually lived up to the novel - it's years since i read it but feel it is time for a reread and repeat viewing, particularly given the state of the world at the moment.

ValerieAndBooks Yes to both for me — at least 30 years ago! I‘d need to hunt down a copy to re-read — don‘t have mine anymore. 6y

Bibliogeekery Beautiful book! 😍 6y
Gezemice Gorgeous! Congratulations! I have finished it earlier this year. It feels like it deserves the ‘Reader‘s Badge of Honor‘. If there is no such thing, we should have one! Thanks for the tag, @Riveted_Reader_Melissa ! 6y

I haven't read the tagged book yet, but it's on my list for #litsyclassics. #shortestclassicyouread And Vanity Fair is a favorite #chunksteryouread. #maylovesclassics #litsyclassicshost #foliosociety #foliofreaks

I tried to read A Suitable Boy several years ago and I got a third through it and quit. So I was excited when my book group tackled it earlier this year and I finally made it all the way through and loved it! Next chunky books on the list: the last half of Infinite Jest, Ulysses and Moby Dick. #chunksteryouread

Some #chunksteryouread books that I‘ve read. #1001Books counts the Kristin Lavransdatter trilogy as one book 🤷🏻‍♀️. I don‘t know if *...And Ladies of the Club* would be considered a classic (it‘s good though!) but I included it for visual balance 👩‍🎨😊.
#Maylovesclassics

LeahBergen I‘ve read them all! 👏🏻 6y
batsy I have that same edition of Anna K! 💜 6y
AlaMich I really enjoyed Kristin Lavransdatter. It amused me to see people‘s eyes glaze over when I said that I was reading a trilogy set in 14th (I think?) century Norway. 😂 6y

BarbaraBB Great choices. I read them all as well, except for the ladies of the club! 6y
ValerieAndBooks @LeahBergen I‘m not surprised you have 😊! 6y
ValerieAndBooks @batsy I bought it when Oprah chose it for her book club (circa 2005?) and I read it through that summer 😊 6y
ValerieAndBooks @AlaMich and yet Kristin still has a contemporary feel 😊!! 6y
ValerieAndBooks @BarbaraBB I read And Ladies of the Club eons ago...keep thinking I‘ll read it again someday 🤗! 6y
Suet624 I don‘t think I can say how much I love Kristin. Have read it twice and am itching to read it again. 6y
