It's time for the monthly 9 day choose your own goals Readathon, #AwesomeApril.
Although as this one coincides with a bank/ national holiday for many, l've extended this to 10 days and incorporated the Monday.
A very relaxed and informal Readathon where you can choose your own goals, whatever they may be. No formal sign up just do a post sharing your goals, and/or the books you hope to read.

Andrew65 Thanks for sharing ❤️ 4h

Joining #AwesomeApril hosted by lovely @Andrew65
As the last few days have been turbulent and decidedly not about reading, a low-key #readathon as this might just be the thing to get me back on track.
🍀😊🍀
Join the fun if you like!

Andrew65 Hope it helps, sending positive thoughts. 19h

#AwesomeApril readathon rolls into May, which is Wyrd & Wonder month!!! Perfect timing!

I have a huge fantasy TBR stack ready to go. And since IBD is Saturday, I‘ll probably end up with an even bigger stack. 😆

Everyone is welcome to celebrate the fantastical during Wyrd & Wonder month. More info on my blog:

kezzlou85 Sounds like fun. I'm on a reading rush at the moment. 21h
kwmg40 I‘m in! 21h
Andrew65 @Lizpixie Thanks for asking, we are both doing as well as we can. Still issues with my IBD and continuous pain but unfortunately that is life. Constant issues with bowels and stomach. How are you and your family doing? If you‘ve not read it I recommend The Dutch House Audiobook read by Tom Hanks. See if his voice will help you out of your reading funk. (edited) 20h
Andrew65 @julesG If it‘s not the size of the keys it‘s the stupid auto-correct. 20h
Andrew65 @wanderinglynn Brilliant. 20h
Lizpixie @Andrew65 I will def give your recce a go, got 4 aud credits lying around rn! I totally sympathise with the stomach & chronic pain issues, two of my biggest probs as well. My SFPN causes paralysed stomach which flows into(or not, literally!)into chronic constipation from intestines too lazy to do their job. Fun times. Causes knock on effects which get worse over time. Then there‘s the constant nerve, muscle & bone pain just from being alive.🥳 19h
Lizpixie @Andrew65 We still here though! Giving Chronic illness the big middle finger🖕🖕🏻🖕🏽 19h
Ruthiella Thanks for the tag! I‘m in. 😃 19h
Librarybelle Thanks for the tag! I have to think of my goals. I hope you are doing okay! 17h
DuckOfDoom I hope to go book shopping one day, and I'll try to make a list of books I want to finish - short ones, probably 17h
Andrew65 @Lizpixie Can relate to a lot of that including the constipation, currently taking a lot of Ispahagula Husk which I got from Amazon to ease that. The constant pain it is which brings you down and gives cause for concern. I need to spend the rest of my Audible credits over next 3 days. 16h
Andrew65 @Lizpixie Yes to giving chronic illness the big middle finger. 16h
Andrew65 @Librarybelle Thanks, doing as well as we can here. 16h
Kelly_the_Bookish_Sidekick Thanks for the tag! I'm what seems to be a rare breed - someone who uses vacations to explore. Maybe because my everyday life is rather sedentary. I'm vacationing in Arizona for most of the time, but I'll certainly read when I can. Looking to finish a couple of books and start on the new #sundaybuddyread for May. 16h
MaGoose I'll be finishing up a few books and starting at least one new one. 38m

Pickpick

I read 3 books by this author this month for #AuthorAMonth @Soubhiville This book was published in 2016 but I have read a couple of recent thrillers and they are very similar in topics.
Lo works for a travel magazine and she will substitute someone from her job to go in this luxury cruise. Lo has drinking problems and when she reported what she saw, probably a missing person, no one believes her. She is an unreliable witness. ⬇️

Gissy The situation gets complicated. Can‘t say more without spoiling the story. What I like: very atmospheric, how characters are described, the story has some twists. What I didn‘t like much: I think the author drag/extends the story too much, too wordy. Some actions are a little unrealistic, maybe? But still, there is something about her writing style that I like, I think is how she describes the atmosphere, I can picture it very well 3.5⭐️ 12mo
