6th and last book read #JubilantJuly Readathon @Andrew65
I have mixed feelings with this book because is magical realism which not always works for me. But then, I saw those beautiful lines and fell in love again with the story. If you liked the movie Up, maybe you will like this one. The story has some similar elements. This old couple must leave their home due to architectural problems. It was so hard for them. The house is full of memories⬇️

Gissy Where they will go? Next day, they open the door and the house is in the middle of the ocean. In this trip they will face their fears, solitude, feelings of guilt but also how to survive. Lovely couple! So, what would be important at the end? The house? The belongings? What? I should say that the story can be repetitive with only 242 pages. I don‘t think is for everyone but it worked for me❤️4⭐️

5th book read during #JubilantJuly @Andrew65
YA fantasy book. A strange illness affected many communities in this world were many people died. Some of the children who survived, developed some kind of powers. But the king and the Queen want to exterminate them and that is the reason the Young Elite Society was created, to regain the kingdom. I like the idea of these powers related with energy. But I can‘t stand is Adelina⬇️

Gissy What an annoying, selfish, terrible character. This first book is to introduce the world, who are the Young Elites and how they train to master and control their powers. Let‘s see what happen in the second book. 3.5⭐️

4th book read during #JubilantJuly Readathon @Andrew65 I liked this thriller? It has more elements of suspense and mystery. Hard to believe that a therapist with her licensed revoked can continue working as a “consultant” using her unique therapeutic model. But I still liked how the story was developed. All characters are unlikely but Avery has an interesting personality. Go blind to this story. Need to read more from these authors 3.8/4☺️

Gissy This story has interés psychological dynamics.

3rd book read in #JubilantJuly @Andrew65
Well, not much to say, is a slasher. Not so fan of this type of book but prefer the book than some movies. At least in the book there is a motive, revenge? I will like to read the sequel.
Quinn moved to this isolated small town with her father to start a new life after her mother died. But the people of this town didn‘t welcome them. Why? The adults are rude with children and teenagers why? 3⭐️

2nd book read during #JubilantJuly Readathon @Andrew65 I enjoyed this suspense/cozy mystery. The story is written in emails/text communications which I think was so creative. Imagine, the whole plot and characters dynamics narrated in this format. I liked the audiobook but you still need the book. Some expected twists some not but it worked for me. I‘m a hardcover lover but I found prettier this paperback cover 3.8/4⭐️

Love this romance. Funny things but also family issues still present, hurting. Long way to heal. A kind of love/hate relationship at the beginning. Love Lucien‘s mother. 3.8⭐️The sequel is out of stock online and is not available in my bookstores😩well I have to wait🤷🏽‍♀️

Never got around to making my roundup for #jubilantjuly #readathon. Ended up finishing 17 manga and 5 audiobooks and starting 2 more manga, 1 audiobook, and 1 ebook, lol. I had 4 days I wish I'd used better, maybe I could have finished my next two reads as part of the readathon, but I think this was great too!

Kenyazero Nice! Any must-read manga this time around? 2w
coffees @Kenyazero i really liked NYU Boy bc it made me ROFL so if you want something ridiculous and sweet, that one. And MADK was like 🤯🤌✨ but it's not for everyone 😆 the author of NYU boy also has another series that has potential but haven't gotten around to the second volume so can't say for sure 🤔 but that one's also kind of dark 😳 2w

I made decent progress during #jubilantjuly by finishing two books and starting “Crying in H Mart.” I read Verity in one day, so that felt like a #bookspin win! I‘m going on a mini trip this weekend, so should be able to finish up my July goals. 😀

Andrew65 That‘s great, good luck. 2w
Kappadeemom Hi Becky - just checking to see if you got your LMBPC from me yet? 2w
BeckyWithTheGoodBooks @Kappadeemom Hi Melanie! It hadn‘t arrived yet on Tuesday when I got the mail. I am out of town for a few day, but will check when I get home! 2w

Last few I finished. Sarah Knight doesn‘t disappoint in this quick holiday read. The Matzah Ball was the last one read for #JubilantJuly. There were a few activity pages at the end of Creepy Christmas but I think I will save those for #WinterGames #ChristmasInJuly
