pickI always love the Shadowhunter books. This one took a little too long to get starters. I took a several months long break in between Parts 1 and 2 and then devoured Part 2 in two days. Naturally I can‘t wait for the next one now.
I had to take a 6 month break halfway through this one. It‘s the first Clare I haven‘t devoured. Giving it a second chance on audio, narrated by the incomparable Finty Williams.

I love Shadowhunters novels but maybe its time to give full-stop to these and move to something else.
so-soMy first finished book since April, woohoo! Even if the book was a hot mess😂 I don‘t know, I just didn‘t vibe with this one. There were some very good scenes but the overall plot just didn‘t do it for me. All in all I was disappointed in this. Hopefully the last one will be better! #shadowhunterchronicles
I‘ve been slowly making my way through this one. Luckily today I have a few hours of nothing to do while I wait for my cousin in the hospital parking lot (nothing serious, no worries!) so I‘m expecting to get at least a couple more chapters in! #carreading

Back in the #Shadowhunter world. Part of me can‘t believe that I‘ve been reading this franchise for 10/11 years!
pickEven better than the first one! It‘s so moody and teen-angst-y, but I enjoyed spending time with the Merry Thieves and getting to see Daisy come into her element. The story is fast-paced and exciting. I just wish Matthew could get some more time.

pickYes I am still reading books for 16 year olds, but they are still amazing and this one has delivered on everything Cassandra Clare is known for. It is full of action, suspense and heartbreak and I am already looking forward to the next one! The ending has broken me and I know this book hangover is going to last a few days at least! I also know I will probably have to wait a year for the next one and I don‘t know how I will cope until then!
pickI spent a great amount of time yelling at characters. 'WTF were you thinking?' 'Tell the other person what you feel.' And 'You're an idiot!' It's YA so teenagers. 🤦🏻♀️
But I'm attached to this world and the characters. Entertains me and keeps me coming back for more. I just always keep in mind that there's always a Cliffhanger unless it's final book in a Trilogy.

I was not a huge fan of Chain of Gold, but oh my gosh I loved this book so much. I ship Cordelia and James so hard. I hate Grace. I love all the friendships. This book was just so good.

I‘m 50% in to Chain of Iron. The Fort quarter was slow and established where the characters are emotionally after a 4 month time jump. The pace is starting to pick up and I‘m excited to see where it‘s goes.
