I enjoyed getting to know Edel better but Camille continues to annoy me. It‘s a well built world but there are aspects that were lacking explanations.

One False Move | Harlan Coben

One of the things I enjoy most about Harlan Coben‘s books is that I often do not guess who the killer is. His books also happen to take place around the area I grew up so it‘s a lot of fun to hear the references!

I did it! I finished the PLL series! I started it two years ago as part of book bingo and slowly made my way through. These girls are like my crazy messed up friends. I enjoy that they never learn to wear gloves when looking at something suspicious.

It will always amaze me how the lists never learn to wear gloves but I do appreciate how it‘s carried over into the show.

Generally, I‘m not really a short story fan, I always find myself either wanting more or just not caring about the stories. This was a mixture of the two. Tom Hanks and his love of typewriters is charming as ever but as an audiobook, it was difficult to figure out when one story ended and the next begins.

Generally my feeling on poetry

BillBlume I laughed way too much at this. It‘s like the time I saw part of a dress rehearsal of the Nutcracker as a kid and asked my mom why no one was talking. 2mo

This is a book of essays targeting young adults. I‘ve been waiting for an essay like this one by Melissa Marr, she talks about her childhood and how it‘s influenced her into who she is now. I found the end of this essay to be very powerful. #halfbloodbingo

It took me a while to get to it but I‘ve finished the Mortal Instruments series. From book 1 to 6, you can see Cassandra Clare growing as a writer. It was great following these characters on their adventures.

At the age of 18, I joined the Obama campaign as the state director for students in New Jersey. I did it because I not only believed in him, but I believed in her and their story. The story of Mrs. Obama is an amazing one, and to hear her perspectives on things was inspiring. Seeing the way her life as a child influenced her as First Lady was a great story to follow. #Halfbloodbingo

Apparently reading political books is the way I‘ve been kicking off #HalfBloodBingo I‘ve known Cory Booker since 2002 and have always liked him in a personal level. His book is a fantastic read on how he ended up mayor of Newark.

This book dealt with two big things: integration and sexuality. I felt the integration piece was phenomenal but I could‘ve done without the sexuality. It felt at points a bit too much for one book to handle. Otherwise, I thought it was phenomenal and thought provoking.

Nell Scovell has written for a lot of shows and her experiences were interesting. However, the parts of the book that I found most interesting had nothing to do with Hollywood rather it was her relationship with Sheryl Sandburg and writing for the White House Correspondents Dinner. #bookclubbook

I love the Harry Potter series but it had been a long time since I reread goblet of fire, I had forgotten so much about it especially how emotional the ending is with Molly Weasley. Looking at the cover again, I find its depiction of Harry so interesting because he has this smile when through most of the book, he‘s pretty miserable.
