I did it - made it through 45.5 hours! Only took me six weeks! And after all that time I‘m invested! The characters and the story line are very engaging. I found myself pausing whatever activity I was doing so I could just listen and laugh or cry with the character‘s triumphs and disappointments. Definitely going to continue the series, though I may wait a bit before such another huge audiobook undertaking!

intothehallofbooks The narrators are some of my favorites! 4mo
CrowCAH @intothehallofbooks I can‘t say I‘ve heard anything read by them before, but I agree they did a superb job! 4mo

I did a thing I had no business doing hehehe 🫣🤭

BooksNBowls Where should I start? Mistborn or Stormlight Archive? 11mo
Ruthiella I think every thing I‘ve heard from other readers is to start with the Mistborn trilogy. 11mo
amyrohn If you‘re in the mood for a sweeping epic fantasy start with Stormlight Archive! Or if you want something more fast-paced with a unique magic system, then go with Mistborn! (Personally I started with Mistborn simply because when I read it The Way of Kings hadn‘t come out yet) 11mo

It‘s spring and the urge to spring clean has hit. Plus, it doesn‘t help that my tbr has reached the overwhelming stage. So I‘ve been doing a little unhauling. Here‘s a few of the books I‘m moving off my shelf to make room for new things.

What about you? When do you unhaul books?

wildwoodreads I‘ve also added these to my Pangobooks shop if you‘re interested in any of them. https://pangobooks.com/bookstore/wildwoodreads 13mo
thegirlwiththelibrarybag I‘ve been unhauling too, in preparation of moving. Some I just know I‘m never going to get around to, and that‘s ok - they are off to little free libraries or thrift shops. 13mo
audraelizabeth I donated a lot of books to goodwill when i moved. I kept 5 storage crates and 1 box of my dads books and mine. One of the few useful things he left me. 13mo
LeticiaToraci You don't like Brandon Sanderson? I usually hoard those. 13mo
wildwoodreads @LeticiaToraci I love Sanderson. I just have multiple copies of those two particular books and not enough room on my shelf unfortunately. 13mo

So many authors to choose from. For fantasy books Sanderson is my favorite but also close seconds are Tolkien and Rothfuss. Also, Blake Crough, JD Kirk, Jeffery Archer just no name a few.

JuliaTheBookNerd Love, love, love The Way of Kings! Such a good book 💙 13mo

Omg..this was such a delicious book to devour..my favorites are so far Kaladin and Dalinar...
Will continue to the second one once I've read a couple smaller ones to give my wrists a break.

Reading The Way of Kings has been a journey. It didn‘t help that I was studying to get my insurance license at the same time. But now that I‘ve passed my test I‘m ready to throw my full attention back to this beast.

robinb I‘ve never read him before, but a friend gifted me a copy of Mistborn and am looking forward to reading it. 2y

The stormight archive is my current favourite series. Well worth the time (and if you're like me effort) Sanderson develops an incredible story

Reread complete. While I really liked this book the first time I read it, I liked it even more this time. Too often writers of epic fantasy fall so in love with their own worlds they lose track of the fact they are telling a story, that things NEED to happen, characters need to develop & that as interesting as, say, eating customs might be, I don‘t want the details. Sanderson never loses sight of the fact he is telling a story. It‘s a great one!

My #December favorite for #12Booksin2021

This legendary fantasy completely lives up to the hype. Can‘t wait to continue it this year, along with my new appreciation for Sanderson.

Andrew65 Need to read him this year. 2y

Finishing 2021 with a reread—I felt the urge to dive into a really big book and the 1200+ pages in the book said “Me! Read me!” I enjoyed it the first time I read it and a third of the way in, I‘m enjoying it just as much the second time. Love this world and am excited to work my way through the series.
