One forest of trees I‘d be happy to stay lost in. All great books.

Took me twice as long to read as it should have- but well worth it. This was a great, action packed read with so many twists and turns. Sad at the end though ☹️
Decided to start this one today 😁
I really enjoyed this book, the second of the Trilogy. Being such a big book, I need to read others before I dive into the next one.
This one was a sad one, but won't get into details about it, in case others want to read the Trilogy.
I would highly recommend it that's for sure
I liked this book, but not quite as well as the first in the series story arc. I‘ll move on to third book to see how the story finishes up. I‘m still amazed I‘d never heard of these books until a couple of months ago.
The second book in his Penn Cage trilogy. I really liked this book. It was hard to put down.
First in an awesome trilogy. If you like mysteries with a great plot and characters then you will love this book. Set in Mississippi.
Guys... this trilogy is so freaking good. This is book 2. I am a sleep deprived mom with a newborn and a 3 year old and I still have not been able to put these books down. I love the historical piece to this story- Iles makes this story damn near believable as nonfiction. The characters are so well developed- especially the villains. Highly recommend this series. 5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ for book 2, time to jump in to book 3 and see how it ends.
What life looks like these days.... Yankees opening day on the tablet, book on my kindle, and baby asleep in his swing. ⚾️💙
Second in the Natchez Burning Trilogy and Iles is so concerned with bringing us up to speed in case we've forgotten details of Book 1 (I had) that it takes its time to get going. Once it does it delves even deeper into America's murky past, adding the Kennedy assassination to the mix. A trifle overlong but I'm hooked anyway.
Spotted in Switzerland - the German-language edition of THE BONE TREE. I love going into bookstores in other countries.
I read. He fishes. All parties on the boat are happy.
The terrible truth is, all that death is a legacy of the great crime that came before, that shattered families and stained these rich fields red for generations.
This continues the saga of Penn Cage and his attempt to live a quiet life with his little girl since the passing of his wife. Not gonna happen while there is so much dirt to stir in Natchez, MI that has his family's history written all over it. Found out after manhandling it for too long that it is a first edition. Seems odd to me that the hard cover of the book has to mention of title or author. Is this a thing now?
I'm hoping that if I make this my #MayMostAnticipated, then I might actually finish reading it this month. #MayBookFlowers
The 2nd part of this trilogy and the drama involving Mayor Cage and his father Dr Cage left me angry and yelling at my book, literally. But yet I still couldn't put it down. It made me pump my fists in relief and then made me tear up. And left me wanting to turn the page before I finished the last one.
Between this and Sherlock Holmes I have more than one #AmazingDoorstopper. #AprilAmazingReads
And it's a pool lounging kind of morning. Happy Easter everyone! 🌞📚🐰
Well, if you insist that I #DropEverythingAndRead, I guess these papers will just have to wait a little longer to be graded. #AprilBookShowers
Part one.. Toronto Pearson Airport... this place is massive. Thank goodness I found this gem next to my gate. I've watched the TV show and always wanted to try it! Couldn't believe there was one here. Now to wait for my connecting flight to Orlando! #wahlburgers #i❤markymark
Vacation mode has started! At the airport hotel. Enjoying some down town before I leave hubby behind for 16 days and some baseball. Let's go Jays! ✈️📚🌞⚾️
Rainy day lunch. I think Spring has finally arrived! 🌧💦🌷🌸 April showers bring May flowers, right?!
I should have brought my book today but who knew this little munchkin would sleep the entire day away! I'm babysitting for my bestie while she gets caught up on paperwork. Love these moments with her babe. Can't wait for mine so they can be best friends ❤
I'm not too far into this one, but if it's anything like its predecessor, it will definitely deserve #FiveStars. #AprilAmazingReads
Just finished The Bone Tree, the second book in the Natchez Trilogy. At over 800 pages each I wish I could read faster! Even my dog is looking for attention. LOL. This book was even better than the first. I was already hugely invested in these characters so I couldn't wait to see what happened next. No spoilers but OMG this series is good. Onto Mississippi Burning.....
Into the story, however, I'm wondering how the author is gonna top the pace of the previous book. Slow goings, but keeping it pushing. #bonetree #thedirtysouth #mystery #longassbook #whowastheeditor
Having a tough time getting reacquainted with the characters. Mainly because I've read the first installment a few years ago, but the story is intense and great. #thedirtysouth #gregilesisverbose #readmorebooks
Reading the Bone Tree by Greg Iles and thank goodness I'm almost done with this LONG book. I'm getting tired of the Kennedy conspiracy stuff and the "poor dad" secrets that Penn's dad is keeping. Won't read the next installment.
Feels like 11 degrees in Mississippi, so we're wearing our finest buffalo plaid and snuggled up with an 800 page book.
Got my cozy sweater blanket and I AM HERE FOR THIS.
Christmas movies, my reading buddy and a few good books.... I finally finished this one. Greg Iles is amazing. I love that he adds historical elements to this trilogy.
My ideal lazy Sunday. Giant engaging book, flannel pants, and Steelers football.
Mystery, crime, and family drama, all in the Deep South. Just started this book this AM but I'm all in. #currentlyreading #booksfromsteinbeck
Only 6 days until this book expires. Work is getting in the way. #booknerdproblems
My #readingcompanion. I'm not sure how I'll get so much reading time in when he finishes his degree. 😂 #photoadaynov16
I must admit, I sometimes skip the gym in the early morning so I can #readinbed before work. These two fight over who sits closer to me. #photoadaynov16
