Such a great yet sometimes heartbreaking story of friendship and the strength to overcome. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book.

I liked the description and idea of the story but I wanted more. I just finished reading, it took me longer than it should have. I‘m not sure about the ending. Maybe I missed something.

Loved the alternating narrators and plot twist. I have to admit that it wasn‘t who I thought it was at the end. My ending would‘ve been really bananas. Solid read for me. The twist and writing had me quickly turning pages.

Kmmsellers @Pelican71 I found out while I was there yesterday. Hated to miss him! I saw him at Lemuria last year and enjoyed hearing him speak. I did run into Jesmyn Ward yesterday, though 😀 4mo
Pelican71 @Kmmsellers 🙌🏾 Lemuria is awesome. I saw Jesmyn Ward and Grisham there in 2017. Maybe we can meet for a signing one of these days. I‘m in Hattiesburg. (edited) 4mo

What a ride! Fast paced domestic thriller told from 3 different characters perspective. I think I enjoyed this book more than the authors previous novel.

“I was wrong to tell you that this is a story about the failures of love. No, it is about real love, true love. Imperfect, wretched, weak love. No fairy tales, no poetry. It is about the negotiations we undertake with ourselves in the name of love. Every day we struggle to decide what to give away and what to keep, but every day we make that calculation and we live with the results.” Fi

I love a good family driven story. I was not disappointed.

This book was 🍌‘s and a trip to Crazy Town. My friend and I read it this weekend and we couldn‘t put it down until the end. So many red flags 🚩. Social services is definitely over-worked but...wow. Also, the author of the book is a trauma psychologist. This is a Kindle First book, if I remember correctly. Sometimes they can be hit or miss for me.

In my opinion, Sally Hepworth does not disappoint. This engaging story is told with two POVs alternating between past and present. Lucy and Diana have a complicated relationship but would it lead to murder? Pub date is 4/23

emtobiasz @JoScho we just really wanted to give her a human name, and I loved all the “old lady” sounding ones. Plus, our Olive looks a bit like the one in the book, and we adopted her right before Christmas. 7mo

I really didn‘t think I‘d enjoy this book since it involved time travel, boy was I wrong. This was not my first Diane Chamberlain book, but I was concerned that it would be heavy on the science fiction. I thoroughly enjoyed it and it got me out of my book funk.

AmyG Very very true. Where I lived in NJ, a few had huge houses and tou‘d walk inside and there would be little to no furniture. 😳 9mo
Cpg Yep! True sometimes!!! My girls growing up would say “so and so is so well off”- and this and that- and I would have to reply- well it may be all charged and mortgaged too! Of course the kids had no idea what that meant!!! 😈 Many living outside their means! 🤭🤫😬 9mo

Pelican71 I said Amen out loud when I read this. People living in neighborhoods that they can‘t afford or driving specific cars for show. We try to live within our means. I tutor after school for my extra money aka book 💰 😁 @Cpg @AmyG @CouronneDhiver 9mo
