Ice cream rolls and reading my new book (I skipped the final session block of the book festival) Yeah, what the book says - NO JUDGMENTS 😆

LA_Mead I didn‘t realize she had a new book out! I‘m going to have to pick that one up! 1mo
bookandcat @LA_Mead it's hard to keep up with her when she has over 80 books 😆😅 this one is great so far! 1mo

At Morristown Festival of Books once again! Talk 1 was on romance - a conversation between Meg Cabot and Tessa Bailey! So fun it was like hanging out with two girlfriends. Can't wait to read No Judgments and Fix Her Up! #morristownfestivalofbooks #mfob #mfob2019 #bookfestival #authortalk #romantsy

I was hoping for a fun romp. Instead got a hot mess.

On the plus side: animals and fun new friends, including the local drag queen/pug parent (really, too minor a character).

On the minus side: poor judgment in the face of a hurricane, sexual assault, animal abuse, over-the-top family drama (can't detail this much for fear of spoiling), cavalier treatment of a gun incident, and general ridiculousness.

So cute! I picked this arc up at ala a couple weeks ago! This book was really the perfect summer read and made me want to move to a tiny island immediately.

Good book! The book is a good read for animal lovers! It is set on an island during a hurricane (which I have never experienced). I found it a good story with a little romance and some lol parts! A few nice twists of drama but nothing too terrible. A good light-ish read.

Contrary to other reviews, I enjoyed this lighthearted tale. What did perturb me a bit was that no one took her (for a spoiler free review) incident seriously.

I managed to finish one book for the #NetGalleyReadathon. I‘m ok with that though considering I‘ve been spending time with family and literally reading until 1-2am.

I liked this one, but then I‘ve liked everything I‘ve read by Meg Cabot. There are parts where I was like hmm ok, but overall it was good.

⭐️⭐️⭐️.5/5

I‘m at a family party and this is how I‘m spending my time. I‘m not in the mood for loud kids and having not much say in any of the conversations (also I don‘t think anyone really pays attention to what I‘m saying anyway). So a book it is.
