I stumbled upon the short story that looks at Agatha‘s first case, way before she moves to the Cotswolds. It was okay. Short stories are hard for me, as I much prefer the development from a novel, but it was an interesting intro to Agatha Raisin. i enjoyed this short read of Agatha Raisin‘s first case after opening her own agency. i haven‘t read any other Agatha Raisin books before. i am going to go back and start from the first of the series.
this book had good characters. Agatha is a real pistol.

Short Read, Only a little over an hour but glad I listened to it. I learned a little more about Agatha, her past, and her dreams.

I still find Ms. Beaton's style a bit clunky, so having read two novels and now a short story, I'm in no hurry to look at her other works.

I travel a lot and have gotten hooked on the Agatha Raisin murder mysteries. Listening to audibles make the miles fly by. Agatha is such an unusual character you just have to love her. :)

This was a cute, quick read about how one of my favorite literary characters got her start solving quirky cases! It stays true to our Aggie without spending an unnecessary amount of time building her backstory or trying too hard to explain things the reader would have learned in other mysteries that were written prior to this one but chronologically followed it.
