Pickpick

This was between a pick and a so-so for me. It took until the halfway mark before I felt really drawn in to the story. Great concept though. #41 #2019

Nerdy_Bookworm I loved that book so much! It was so scary, but this is the son of the King of Horror, so I expected it to be terrifying. What I wasn't prepared for was how scary it actually was! 4mo

The Call of the Wild | Jack London

Pickpick

Book #41: When you think about one of Jack London's Alaskan dog books, you would likely think about White Fang, I assume due to the popularity of the movie a few years ago. However, before White Fang was published, London published the much shorter The Call of the Wild. To start off I must say that this book was fantastic and I highly recommend...

#HelloThursday @wanderinglynn

I rarely have anything to complain about here in #Seattle (truly): we don‘t have extremes (I have MS so I can‘t handle them), it really doesn‘t rain as much as everyone thinks it does, and we have seasons.

1 45 F (high of 55 later), NO rain
2 55-75 F so symptoms don‘t flare. 80 tops or I feel crummy
3 No idea
4 Inside when it‘s rainy outside, 70 if I‘m out
5 The only season I ‘match‘ my books to is probably Fall ☺️

kamoorephoto **Atlanta, DC, and NYC see more annual rainfall than we do each year ☔️ Seattle is something like #41 on rainiest US city list. And thankfully snow mainly stays in the mountains. STAY WARM, everyone!!!! ❄️ 10mo
wanderinglynn Thanks for playing! 💜 And it does rain a ridiculous amount here in DC. So I‘m excited about moving to Seattle. 😀 10mo
kamoorephoto @wanderinglynn You‘re moving here???! And our summers are the best!!! Yay!! We shall have to meet! ☺️🙌🏼 10mo

wanderinglynn Yep! In about 2 weeks. I‘ll be living in Bremerton & working for the Navy. I can‘t wait to meet all the PNW Littens! 😀 10mo
kamoorephoto @wanderinglynn That‘s awesome! We shall have to have another PNW meetup in Seattle (or you just say when you‘re here)! @MinDea 10mo
wanderinglynn Absolutely! 👍🏻👍🏻 10mo

#41 "He's no Easter bunny!"
Tim Swanson loves magic tricks and one day wants to be a real magician just like his idol Amaz-O the Magician. When he goes to one of his shows he finds out that his childhood hero is really a grumpy old man. Depressed and determined to be a better magician, Tim steals Amaz-O's bag of tricks. But this might be the last time he ever performs a magic trick.

LibrarianRyan If Gone Girl wins this I will no longer trust my fellow Littens. I shall be shamed and disappointed. ☹️ 1y
Wife Easiest vote so far! I adore Charlotte‘s Web ❤️ 1y
Amandajoy Those two books couldn‘t be more different 🤔 1y

Nebula_of_Books It simply has to be Charlotte‘s Web. No offense to Gone Girl, but it‘s not timeless like CW is. 1y
SledgeReader I‘m with you! Why are we even discussing this? Charlotte! 1y
Rachel.Rencher I'm gonna be in the minority here I'm sure, but I voted for Gone Girl. 🙈 It's one of the best thrillers I've ever read, and Gillian Flynn is amazing. 1y
BookwormAHN @Rachel.Rencher I also voted for Gone Girl. 1y

BillBlume This is a really tough choice, but I gotta go with Mary Shelley‘s Frankenstein. 1y
LibrarianRyan Nooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!! Don't make me choose!!!!! 1y
knittedgnome I just wanted to say thanks for doing this! It's really provided hours of discussion between my bookworm son and myself. We now like to argue two books we both love to determine the winner. Lol. 1y

sudi This one is tough 😯 1y
julesG Oh no, I don't want to choose between the two of them. 1y
Peddler410 This is a tough app one! I‘m from the Chicago area — that means I get two votes, right @MrBook ? 🤞 1y
catsuit_mango I can't decide, it's like chosing between two children... 1y
MrBook @Peddler410 😂👏🏻🤗🤗🤗🤗! @knittedgnome Yaay ☺️😁🤗! 1y
MrBook @BillBlume @LibrarianRyan @knittedgnome @sudi @julesG @Peddler410 @catsuit_mango You think this one's tough. My colleagues are already fretting up a particular upcoming bracket: Anne of Green Gables vs. Harry Potter. 😂😂😂👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 (edited) 1y
catsuit_mango Waou Anne versus Harry would be hard too. I still haven't cast my vote... 1y
rwmg Very, very difficult, but I think I'm going to have to choose Frankenstein. 1y

I am having a lovely evening all thanks to Litsy. Reading my new book (which is awesome so far) from @Librarybelle and drinking my Forever Nuts tea in my color change mug thanks to another Litten (I can‘t remember who!) who recommended this yummy tea from David‘s Tea. Thanks all!!! ❤️

Drebae29 I‘m reading this too. 2y
Bklover @Drebae29 It‘s exactly what I was wanting to read! 2y
whippoorwill815 I‘m so jealous of everyone reading this right now , I think I‘m down to #28 on the library wait list 😂 2y

Drebae29 I was very lucky. I live in an area where they don‘t always have the books because it‘s a smaller town but they had this on ebook and there was only one in front of me. However I have a library card for the big city next to us and I started at #41 and still a #36 @nestlera 2y
Drebae29 @Bklover it‘s pretty good so far different story line which is always great. I‘m still learning everyone and what‘s going on. Chapter #24 2y
Bklover @Drebae29 @nestlera This book is soooo good. I‘m about 3/4 of the way through. If I didn‘t have to get up at the butt crack of dawn I‘d finish it tonight! 2y
