ANYONE ELSE SEE THIS?! 🎉🎉🎉 I cried watching the video his cousin took for her IG page of him getting out of the car at home! I wanted to run up and hug him so hard and never let go. I have no idea how she managed not to. I‘m guessing it only lasted as long as the video did. 🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡 Another video showed him in the fridge at home, trying out leftovers. He deserves a LOT of good meals after 20+ years in prison food.

batsy I was just thinking about this earlier today. Came across this tweet https://twitter.com/Lisatweets444/status/1572050133549981696?t=3pCgIylnv5q52xO0R... 5d

ravenlee I think it‘s easy to get bogged down in fatalism, get overwhelmed by the odds - so much of what we‘ve discussed before, in the limits of free will and such. Then, yes, there‘s melancholy. But if we acknowledge the cruddy situation and still work to make the best of it for ourselves and those around us, there‘s reason for hope and optimism. 6d
GingerAntics @ravenlee I like that view much better. I think there is certainly room to recognise that things can and do suck. I think the “everything‘s great and always awesome” camp is just as toxic as the “everything sucks and nothing matters” camp. I think the whole point is to find that happy medium, like you say. It‘s important to acknowledge both sides of life, I guess. Some (most? all?) of the philosophers in this chapter did NOT get that memo. 6d
ravenlee Yes, toxic optimism. The people who talk about “first-world problems” like you can‘t be upset about anything just because other people have it worse. The ones who want to know what you‘re doing for self-care because it‘s SOOO important but ignore all the genuine problems that are causing the stress in the first place. 6d
See All 10 Comments
GingerAntics @ravenlee yes to all of that! First world problems (for joke sake) are like “I wish my phone did this,” but that‘s not to say people in the first world don‘t actually have problems. 6d
ravenlee Exactly! Like, “I dropped my phone and the screen cracked so it‘s barely usable but I can‘t afford $700 for a new one” is indeed a first-world problem - but it‘s for someone who needs a usable phone to be contacted about work, housing opportunities, family emergencies, and so on, it‘s still very much a problem! 6d
GingerAntics @ravenlee exactly! I just dropped my phone and the screen is cracked so it‘s barely useable, but don‘t worry daddy will buy me a new one on the way home from work” is absolutely a genuine first world problem in the joke sense. 🙄 6d

ravenlee Well, cats don‘t realize they‘re naked…so…yes? (Seriously, my SIL keeps sending pictures of her kids dressing their cat in doll clothes and the cat is NOT amused. I think he‘s either plotting murder or escape) 6d
GingerAntics @ravenlee oh my god, dogs will put up with that bs, but cats will NOT! 😳 I‘ve seen a cat willingly wear a garment if it serves them in some meaningful way (I‘m thinking of a cat with paralysed back legs that wears little dresses that let her drag her back legs over the floors without hurting herself), but if they‘re aware they are naked, they really don‘t care. They will gladly throw a leg up and lick their butt in front of god and man! 6d
ravenlee Once at my MIL‘s house kiddo was playing with the old (like MIL‘s childhood) dolls and my BIL caught MIL‘s cat and was trying to put some dress or something on her. MIL came over all exasperated and I thought kitty was in for a rescue until she said, “oh for goodness‘ sake - at least find something that fits her!” and proceeded to find her “favorite” dress. Now I try to make sure the cat is well hidden before they play dolls. 😳🙄 6d

GingerAntics @ravenlee oh my god that poor cat! You have got to be kidding. 6d
ravenlee I wish I were. 6d
ravenlee Or maybe cats do realize they‘re naked and revel in it. Nudist cats? Is that why they lick their butts at us so deliberately? 6d
GingerAntics @ravenlee OH MY GOD THAT WOULD EXPLAIN SO MUCH!!! They look at us like “what‘s up with those things on your body? What‘s the point. Be comfortable.” Cats are nudists! 🤯 6d
TheBookHippie @ravenlee yes. They‘re flaunting their freedom. 1d

Do humans like cats because they are not like humans at all? Such an intriguing thought. We see such differences in them, and that‘s what draws us to them. Perhaps (from last chapter), we are drawn to them, because they want us to be.
#FelinePhilosophy #JohnGray #Philosophy #AdventuresInPhilosophy #DeadPhilosophersSociety #LiveLikeACat #TheMeaningOfLife #Cats #Cat #CatsAndTheMeaningOfLife #CatsOfLitsy

kspenmoll I never lived with cats before marrying; my husband loves all animals & feels akin to them. Now that I have had cats, for me, their behavior/ beings drew me to them. It may be different for others. I was brought up with dogs & viewed cats as boring. Mow I love my cats. Over time we have so lucked out with our 3- all companions & “dog cats.” (edited) 7d
GingerAntics @kspenmoll I‘m thinking they are more like us than Gray is giving them (or us) credit for. Each cat is unique. Some are very ritualistic and some are totally free spirits. The religions of the world talk about how horrible humans are and how we must overcome our natures, but the natures they want us to overcome the most are the things cats embrace. Proper rest. Enjoying the moment. Not worrying about what others think of us. Etc. 6d
See All 12 Comments
GingerAntics @kspenmoll maybe we love cats because they are us without all the constraints and BS. Instead of complicating everything, they‘ve simplified everything. 6d
ravenlee I wish we could be more catlike: take naps when you‘re tired. Eat when you‘re hungry. Keep yourself clean and in good working order. Manipulate those around you into taking care of your needs. They‘re masters of “self-care.” 6d
GingerAntics @ravenlee another really good point. Perhaps we can never be entirely cat like, maybe because we‘re not really supposed to me (seeing that to the best of my knowledge we are not cats), but we can certainly learn from them. Cats can do amazing things to help and even rescue people they‘re attached to (possibly because they see it as saving their automatic food generator? 🤷🏼‍♀️), they will even risk one their 9 lives… 6d
GingerAntics @ravenlee but they won‘t do any of that if they are sick, injured, overly tired, etc. They sleep when they need it. They eat when they need to. They don‘t worry about fitting a body ideal or a productivity ideal. They protect themselves and those they care about. After that, all bets are off. Don‘t even look at their house if they don‘t know you, they might take it as a threat. 6d
kspenmoll @GingerAntics SO true! When Emmy has enough of my lap she just up & goes. She chooses what she does, how she lives in any given moment. They are good mentors for us regarding rest(my struggle), being in moment, etc. 6d
kspenmoll @GingerAntics great great points!!! Re: masters of self care. @GingerAntics Poe is our empath cat- he senses when one of us is upset, sad, etc. and just shows up & snuggles us. (edited) 6d
GingerAntics @kspenmoll I grew up with a cat like that. He was such an introvert, but if I was upset, it was cold in my room at night, he thought my feet were something that was going to get me under my covers, he was right there. I miss that big guy everyday. 5d

kspenmoll I think philosophy is telling us both. Some philosophy seems to go hand in hand with religion & its rituals. Cats have rituals but obviously not aligned with religion. We can try to be more content, accept that we all die, live as much in the moment as we can, but living as Humans has demands, bumps, tragedies. In this divisive world/country it seems only achievable individually & within smaller groups. I wish it were different & I strive for that 7d
GingerAntics @kspenmoll that makes a lot of sense. 6d
ravenlee I think philosophers (maybe not philosophy overall) tell us that we‘re too complicated to live like cats. Whether that is a positive or a negative depends on the individual perspective. 6d
See All 16 Comments
GingerAntics @ravenlee that is true. That could be a new branch of philosophy right there. Are we too complicated to live like cats? Is this a good thing or a bad thing? 6d
ravenlee I feel like cats could belong to several schools of philosophical thought. Zen, Stoicism, pragmatism, so many. Also, stoner philosophy when catnip is involved. 6d
GingerAntics @ravenlee 😂🤣😂 6d
GingerAntics @ravenlee I don‘t know. A lot of those philosophies are focused on dealing with the melancholy of life. Cats aren‘t. They‘re oblivious to it. Anxiety doesn‘t keep cats awake. They don‘t have insomnia. Cats see a problem, and either they can do something about it (claw someone‘s face off) or they can‘t (it‘s time for a nap anyway). 🤷🏼‍♀️ I think stoner fits them well on all cases. Something happens and they grin, say “dude” and have a nap. 6d
ravenlee True, they‘re not at the heart of any of those philosophies, but more in line with the practice, like taking things as they come, making do instead of wishing for better. Although my cat for sure wishes for the canned food when I give him the kibble. 6d
GingerAntics @ravenlee yeah, I swear, if I fed the cat wet food for some reason or a special occasion, then gave them kibble, I‘d get a look. “What is this crap, human? Where is my real meal?” 6d
kspenmoll @ravenlee Good points. Especially catnip. 6d
kspenmoll @GingerAntics @ravenlee Wet food reigns in our house. Another cat directive. 6d
GingerAntics @kspenmoll we‘ve all been trained by our cats! 😂 5d

TheBookHippie This book is fun. I loathe cats and never want one in my house but I like holding a kitten 😂 I think they‘re cute to look at and I understand people liking them I just really do not, so this book is different for me. I actually like both, as long as they are done well, which is the important part. Post-apocalyptic can get too dark and that turns me off. If I end up thinking the best solution for the characters (and the readers) is for them to commit mass suicide, it‘s gone too far. As far as alt history, that walks a fine line between the actual history and being so original it‘s basically just an original story set in that time period.

GingerAntics I‘m really hoping the next chapter isn‘t quite as grim in places. I‘m not sure I can take a whole book of the depravity of humanity turned on cats. 2w
ravenlee I was thinking the same thing. I don‘t understand why Gray felt it necessary or useful to lay out such gruesome details, and so much of it. I get that humans can be singularly, well, inhuman, but the litany was excessive and served little purpose (as far as I can tell). I‘m still waiting for the “philosophy” part to really take off. 2w
ravenlee I did find some interesting tidbits on the history of cats - I love that cats domesticated themselves. It wasn‘t new to me, as we watch a LOT of documentaries around here (one of the tunes kiddo hums to herself sometimes is the PBS Nature theme music), especially on cats (kiddo‘s major obsession for the past two years). But it‘s still awesome. 2w

GingerAntics @ravenlee I love that your kid likes documentaries! That is just awesome! 🧡🧡🧡 2w
GingerAntics @ravenlee yeah, I didn‘t feel a lot of philosophy on this one, other than “cats don‘t need philosophy” which was confusing. What are we doing here exactly? I‘m hoping this was the intro chapter and we‘ll get into the philosophy now. I don‘t see any purpose to litany of human horrors inflicted upon cats either. I just genuinely hope it‘s over. I want to protect all the kitties! 2w
GingerAntics @ravenlee part of me does wonder how those monsters didn‘t get their faces clawed off, though. If anyone deserved to be clawed to death, it was the nutcases that came up with those atrocities!!! 2w
TheBookHippie @GingerAntics I assume this will get better. Sorry I‘m so late I have a hugely busy schedule this month! 2w
GingerAntics @TheBookHippie that‘s fine. I totally bungled posting this week, so we‘re all on the back foot a bit with this one. 🤷🏼‍♀️ Yeah, I‘m certainly hoping for some actual philosophy in the next chapter and hopefully no more anti-cat check lists. 2w

ravenlee A documentary I saw showed how human brains react to cat cries like they react to human baby cries, and cats only communicate by crying with humans (not to other cats), so cats evolved their cries to manipulate us into paying attention to them. So, yes, cats are basically in charge. 2w
TheBookHippie @ravenlee Agree. This is why I like dogs. 2w
GingerAntics @ravenlee 🤣😂🤣 oh my god that is AWESOME!!! I knew I loved cats! 2w
kspenmoll Oh I love hearing this!!!!! Cats are in charge! 1w
GingerAntics @kspenmoll I feel like a world ruled by cats would be WAY more laid back and probably way more equal (I don‘t think cats much care what people look like or do for a living as long as they‘re not jerks) than our own. In fact, we‘d probably be paid in food and comfortable places to sit. That‘s pretty much currency to cats, isn‘t it? 1w

TheBookHippie @GingerAntics BAHAHAHAHAHA. 2w
kspenmoll @ravenlee @TheBookHippie I have 2 cats that we live dearly & certainly have trained us! But i will say that Emmy cries when she can‘t find me now that I am back at work & both greet us at the door when we return from somewhere. They are “dog cats” but also fit so much with this book because they were feral. 1w
GingerAntics @kspenmoll that‘s interesting, actually. I think it does come down to the unique personality of the cat, too. Some like knowing you‘re there. I had one cat who would fall asleep next to me while I was reading a book or watching tv and would stretch a paw out to put on my arm or my leg or even my face, just to know I was there. Other cats are just more independent, and as long as they have food, litter box, and a window, they‘re chill. 1w
kspenmoll @GingerAntics Definitely cat personality. Both my cats are distinct from each other. 7d

@TheBookHippie @ravenlee @JaclynW @RavenLovelyReads @AlaSkaat @Chrissyreadit @kspenmoll

ravenlee I can see it. People get really philosophical when they feel lost or confused about their lives - like so many people who change majors in college and are consumed by questions about whether or not they‘re making the right choice. 2w
TheBookHippie I think it‘s the search for control and for absolutes. I think there are a faction of people who prefer to be told what to do -so they don‘t have to make the decisions, or effort, and they find comfort in that -I personally don‘t understand this but I do see those type of people really enjoying church and religion. I agree with @ravenlee about when people feel lost. It‘s uncomfortable for most to not have certainty which actually is so not life. 2w
GingerAntics @ravenlee @TheBookHippie I totally agree that philosophy can certainly have that grasping for certainty feel about it. I think it‘s how you approach philosophy, too, though. I think for some it is this grasping at straws for anything of comfort, but in this group it‘s more the adventure of different people‘s perspectives and how they view the world. Perhaps the people we‘re reading are going more toward the looking for certainty, though. 2w
See All 6 Comments
TheBookHippie @GingerAntics Could be I am anxious to read on! 2w
kspenmoll Coming to this a week late, but I found this part of the book fascinating - & see in my( our) lives many who need the certainty of religion, church etc. & as @TheBookHippie said, people often want to have decisions made for them by being black & white about following rules. Especially now when our world is so threatening on so many levels, people look for comfort. @ravenlee (edited) 1w
GingerAntics @kspenmoll yeah, I never really looked at philosophy in the same way as religion before. It makes sense though, and I can certainly see that being one draw toward philosophy. I just don‘t think it‘s the only draw or a universal draw to philosophy. 1w

This book was a hoot! It was truly heartbreaking in places, but it was so funny in places I couldn‘t help myself laughing openly. Alison Arngrim‘s voice is truly the voice of Nellie, but she‘s an absolute hoot. I would love to see one of her stand up shows. She‘s the polar opposite of Nellie, but that almost makes the whole thing more intriguing. Now, I want to go back and rewatch the series, but cheer for Nellie the whole way.

kspenmoll I finally finished chapter 1. Loved the story of Meo. But the history of how philosophers & scientists & people treated cats is nauseating. 1w
GingerAntics @kspenmoll that was hideous. Gray could have left that at, “historically, people have had these myths and misunderstandings of cats and have treated them poorly because of this.” I could have been perfectly happy with a nice mention and run approach to that. Chrissyreadit Now I‘m curious about Rose Wilder and what made Laura and Almánzar crazy. I‘m still surprised rose was an only child 2w
jewright @Chrissyreadit They had a baby boy that died as an infant. I do think something went wrong after they were all so sick because they never had anymore children. 2w
GingerAntics @Chrissyreadit I think the easiest way to describe them is the earliest citizens of Trump nation. Laura and Almonzo were big on tax evasion and even convinced Rose not to pay taxes either. They were very against the new deal which wasn‘t uncommon, but there response was that they didn‘t support the new programs and therefore wouldn‘t pay taxes so as not to have to pay for those programs. 🙄 The whole time I kept thinking… 2w
GingerAntics @Chrissyreadit “the family that evades taxes together, stays together.” They came off as bitter, snotty people. They didn‘t attend church often as they felt they were better than everyone else in their town. They just aren‘t very likeable people. Melissa Gilbert and Dean Buttler (and Michael Landon really) made them for more likeable than they really we‘re. 2w
Chrissyreadit @GingerAntics It‘s sad considering even in the books they present as very responsible hardworking people, so interesting to see how often people are not comprable to their images- (someone else that came to mind in that regard is Gandhi) 2w
GingerAntics @Chrissyreadit I‘m sure that‘s how they viewed themselves and many uber conservatives still idolise them, honestly. I‘ve always wondered about Gandhi and what he was like in everyday life beyond his hunger strike and activism. 2w
GingerAntics @Chrissyreadit Elvis comes to mind on that one for me. Apparently he had an obsession with virgins and virginity. After their daughter was born, he basically wanted nothing to do with his wife because he couldn‘t even pretend she was a virgin anymore. Apparently he would spend time with groups of virgins just because he could. It‘s really taking virgin worship to a whole other, twisted level. 2w

We‘ve come to the end of our journey. How is everyone feeling? That was A LOT in 7 weeks. It was certainly an adventure. Any favourite sonnets that stood out, or theories about the collection you‘d like to share?

Graywacke It was an adventure. Thanks @GingerAntics for pacing us and keeping these posts up. My favorites are 18 and 60 (? - the one on the ripples) In this last section I felt less engaged, but I liked the anti-Petrarch aspect. And there‘s one on his soul (with an unfortunately corrupt line 2) that I found interesting. And I like the last two and their play on Greek mythology. 1mo

Graywacke I think my favorite couplet is Sonnet 65 lines 3&4: How with this rage shall beauty hold a plea, Whose action is no stronger than a flower? 1mo
MrsMalaprop Thanks @GingerAntics 🙏. I really enjoyed this deep dive into the sonnets. It stretched my brain. I learnt so much about the sonnets and the Bard. He was a flawed, talented man. Who‘d‘ve thunk it 🤷‍♀️😉. 1mo
GingerAntics @Graywacke @MrsMalaprop I‘m so glad you both hung in there. I think there are a few others that are still finishing up. The sonnets are so different from the plays, they definitely do stretch the mind. 1mo
batsy Thanks for keeping us going @GingerAntics ! Like others have said, I felt like my brain has been stretched in ways I didn't know it could stretch ? I love that via the repetition of love and lust he explores deep philosophical conundrums. "A god in love, to whom I am confined"—sonnet 110 sticks in my mind because of this line. I was also less enamoured of the Dark Lady sequence of poems, probably because it seemed more nihilistic/cynical. 1mo
GingerAntics @batsy the dark lady seems very cynical to me as well. 1mo

I really liked this book. It was fascinating to hear about the genetics of the indigenous peoples of what is now North America. I also enjoyed the ethical discussion of using something thought of as sacred to many indigenous peoples - DNA - to do research, especially with all the bad history that exists between indigenous peoples and western centric scientists/sciences.

GingerAntics This is certainly a conversation starter. I‘d love to know more. I‘m currently in search of more books on the topic. #JenniferRaff #Origin #archeology #palaeontology #genetics #indigenous #history 1mo

Can we just take a moment to discuss the INCREDIBLE way Joe Jameson (the narrator of the audiobook) says the word “Lucien.” I‘m not even luc, but let me tell you it makes my toes curl. He already does Oliver‘s voice deeper than Luc‘s, but I swear he says “Lucien” is twice as low as everything else Oliver says. And WHEN is Luc going to retaliate by taking up calling Oliver, Oli?! I mean, seriously.

DGRachel I know nothing about the book, but I want to grab the audiobook based purely on your comments. 🤣🤣🔥🔥 1mo

DGRachel @julesG Thanks! 1mo
GingerAntics @DGRachel I second the motion to get the first book first. Both are sweet, heartwarming stories. The people on the bus have got to think I‘m crazy with all the random smile cracking and laughing. Oh well, it‘s just that good. 1mo

I‘ve been a terrible leader the last two weeks. I promise to do better. How is everyone doing with their adventures through Shakes‘s sonnets?

Graywacke We crossed over from love sonnets addressed to the young man to those addresses to the unconventionally dark lady with black eyes. I‘m seeing the narrative. It feels like WS needed something off convention to spark his Sonnets. I like the anti-Petrarch aspects and I loved is deranged compression of contradictions on lust in 129. 1mo
See All 14 Comments
GingerAntics @Graywacke he certainly does have a convoluted inner life coming through in these. I still think the death of Hamnet plays some roll here. 1mo
batsy It does feel like his switch to the Dark Lady helps him regain his autonomy again, or his spark, maybe. Though thus far these particular ones addressed go the DL are keeping me at a distance. I'm particularly fond of 123, where he basically rants at Time. 1mo
MrsMalaprop As my posts attest, I am digging it. The harder I work at it, the more I get out. The repressed English teacher in me is feeling affirmed. 😁 1mo
Graywacke @batsy regains his autonomy? I need think about that. …also I liked his rant at time a lot. 1mo
Graywacke @MrsMalaprop I‘m enjoying your “repressed teacher” posts! 😂 (edited) 1mo
MrsMalaprop @Graywacke yup! Decided I was going to be a high school English teacher but all my teachers at the time discouraged it 😔. Then I discovered school psychology 💡. 1mo
batsy @Graywacke Yeah ... No. I just read sonnets 133-135 and I take back what I said 😆 1mo
Graywacke @MrsMalaprop interesting! I‘m glad you found a good role. 1mo
GingerAntics @batsy @Graywacke I do love the rant at time! I think it‘s something we can all relate to. 1mo

Started and finished this gem on the bus Thursday and Friday.

This book is adorable! Kunal Nayyar is adorable! He‘s more like Raj than you‘d think. He‘s a little nerdy. 👇🏻👇🏻👇🏻

GingerAntics He‘s awkward with women (or at least was). He had some really weird culture shock moments where he said things that he didn‘t necessarily mean or understand in the moment, but luckily he had awesome friends that let him know and loved him anyway. He related Hindi holidays with Lord of the Rings. 👇🏻👇🏻👇🏻 1mo
GingerAntics He almost had to go back to India because his visa was going to expire, but then he landed his first professional acting gig, a little show I‘m sure no one even saw called The Big Bang Theory! He‘s Raj, but even more lovable and cool! This book was a fun, delightful, funny adventure. 👇🏻👇🏻👇🏻 1mo
GingerAntics I openly laughed multiple times on the bus while listening to this (I‘m sure most of the Fargo-Moorhead area now thinks I‘m absolutely crazy). It‘s made even better because it‘s read by Kunal himself. #KunalNayyar #YesMyAccentIsReal #Raj #TBBT #audiobook #busbook 1mo

BiblioLitten I think I‘ll like this one. Even though my last memoir disappointed me. 1mo
GingerAntics @BiblioLitten if you liked TBBT, you‘ll enjoy this. It‘s goofy and cheery. Even the sad parts have a heartwarming spin to them. He‘s definitely not Raj, but then he‘s kind of Raj. It‘s hard to explain. 1mo
BiblioLitten I loved TBBT!! Just finished rewatching Young Sheldon😄 1mo
GingerAntics @BiblioLitten Young Sheldon is so much fun. I‘m starting to get worried though. George is going to have to die soon. 1mo

I finished this one on Thursday on the bus. I forgot to post about it. Sorry guys. I‘ve been a terribly Litsy friend the last few weeks.

This just might be the most twisted, complicated death of the entire series. I loved every second of it. The big news is of course Llelo and Dai growing up and really becoming men.
👇🏻👇🏻👇🏻

GingerAntics It‘s crazy to think of Llelo because 17! Dai is 15! It‘s mind blowing. I still picture 13/14 year old boys in my head (even though 14 makes you legally a man in wales at this time), but they really are men now. In a few more books, one of them is going to fall in love and get married! I can‘t wait! 👇🏻👇🏻👇🏻 (edited) 1mo
GingerAntics Mumford also read this one, so it was absolutely awesome in every way. I seriously hope he does every new book from now on. #SarahWoodbury #TheFaithlessFool

This is the title page from the 1609 first edition of Shakespeare‘s Sonnets. How many have actually made it to sonnet 110? (I‘m not) How is secretive doing with the Sonnets? (I‘m a bit behind) Any favourites pop out at you this week? What do you think this week‘s theme was?

batsy I am. I thought I wouldn't be able to keep up, but reading the sonnets is a daily ritual that I take great pleasure in now, despite the struggle ? I found it interesting that the later ones from 108 to 110 I think pivoted to the poet's own infidelities & justifications for them. The line in 110, "a god in love, to whom I am confined", is very arresting & gives a kind form to the anguish the poet has been struggling with. 2mo
erzascarletbookgasm I‘m playing catch up and am enjoying it 👌 2mo
MrsMalaprop I am keeping up. Like @batsy I am very much enjoying them and the workout they are giving my brain. 2mo
Graywacke @batsy the “Alas, ‘tis true, I have gone here and there” threw me. I thought, wait! What? But what about all that other stuff? And that you cited is quite something 2mo
Graywacke @GingerAntics no worries. I have kept up, but it‘s taken an effort. My morning reading time is all sonnet every day. Thanks for posting these posts. And cool to see that cover. (Was Shakespeare part of the printing process? I understand he may not have been.) 2mo
Graywacke @MrsMalaprop they are amazing to revisit and rethink all fresh, 5 minutes or days later. 2mo
Graywacke @jenniferw88 I‘m still jealous you have all your own class notes to review. 🙂 2mo
Riveted_Reader_Melissa That would make me 110 sonnets behind 🤷‍♀️🤪🤣 2mo
TheBookHippie I am loving the daily read I have had favorites and added them to my journaling you think I‘d keep track and post the numbers of the sonnets 🤣🤣🤣 OY! I‘ve love trying to dissect them and I‘m sure I‘m using my own self too much in them 😂 maybe that‘s the point. I do however think this is the intimate Shakespeare . 2mo
TheBookHippie @Graywacke next day reading- OH I think this is what it means —-reads another OH maybe it‘s this 🤣🤣✊🏼🤷🏻‍♀️😅 reading a bunch to catch up I changed my mind 50 times at least. However I am enjoying it . 2mo

Finally going to read this one, over a year after I got the paperback and ebook. Luckily, Tom Mumford is the narrator again. I seriously hope he‘s taken over for Schroeder now. Anyway, starting this after some sleep. I‘m guessing this one is about Cadwaladr. Faithless and fool both describe him well.

This story especially intriguing, because no one is actually murdered. The revelations are still far and away a highlight of the end of this book. I completely forgot the ending of this one. I may never forget it now. Tom Mumford narrated this time and it really made the story (and Woodbury‘s writing) sing. This was far more pleasant to listen to than any of the others before it.

I‘m also including this list of the chapters with their titles so everyone is on the same page when we talking about a “chapter.” The readings for each week are less than 30 pages, but of course with the books we read, that can still feel like a lot. Any questions, let me know. If anyone wants to be taken off or added, just let me know!

I love seeing Dai growing up and becoming a greater member of the dragons. The mystery itself was great and kept me on my toes until the end (I didn‘t remember who killed whom from my first time through). I loved this story, but could someone please teach Laurel Schroeder how to say “chomping at the bit.” “Champing” isn‘t even a word. Where was the director on this thing? Seriously.

Bookwomble I'd also say "champing", as it's the form of that saying I learnt at school ? 2mo
