#bookhaul from last weekend. All this for $3.50 from the library book store! I was so excited to find the tagged book, I‘m surprised I didn‘t audibly squeal! 😁

LeslieO Gurnsey and Provence! So good! 6y

I was really enjoying the book so far, until the mention of New Kids on the Block being a four member group. Now I‘m questioning the accuracy of everything else in the book. I mean, I know it‘s fiction, but still...😅

Could certainly use some of that “custom-blended coffee” the protagonist keeps going on about... ☕️ #coffee #audiobook

Not my usual pick...not really into the whole super mercenary/government agent genre (Bourne, Reacher, etc). Since it is an #audiobook & #kindleunlimited, I can make it through 😅

Feel bad for how low this is scored on here. I enjoyed it and how it all wrapped up. I definitely think there were some far-fetched bits while they were stranded on the island, but they didn‘t ruin the book in my opinion. Not a thriller really, more low-key.

Slightly nervous about this one because of the current Litsy rating, but we‘ll see how it goes!

Really enjoyed this book. I liked the variety of viewpoints used to bring the story together. There were some predictable elements that made you feel like you figured the whole thing out, but I definitely wasn‘t expecting the actual twist. Going to be adding more from this author to my #TBR!

RaimeyGallant Nice review. 6y
MelissaSue81 Have you read her other books? This one is probably my least favorite, but still good! 6y
Wandering_Jess @MelissaSue81 I haven‘t yet, but I just put a hold on Reconstructing Amelia in Libby 😅 6y
MelissaSue81 She also has The Outliers trilogy (third book out next month!). It‘s YA and a bit different (some sci fi aspects, and some crazy conspiracy stuff).. but they are twisty turny fun. 6y

This quote really made me laugh. He was talking about the comedy/sketch writing process where the group of writers get together to work on their material.

I didn‘t feel like this one was really surprising in terms of whodunnit, but I really enjoyed unraveling the story through all of the different perspectives.

Today‘s prompt #wilderness immediately made me think of My Side of the Mountain that I read in grade school. I always wanted a falcon after reading this book! #readingresolutions

MelissaSue81 Whoa. 5th grade coming back at me! Isn‘t it funny the things we remember? I can barely remember another book I read in grade school, but I remember this whole story! 6y
Wandering_Jess @MelissaSue81 Yes!! 5th grade for me too! The other grade school book I really remember was Where the Red Fern Grows because it is the first time I remember a book making me cry 😭 6y

I always have a hard time picking favorites of anything, but when I was younger R. L. Stine & Fear Street were life! I got rid of my collection when I “grew up” so this thrift store find is the only one I have now 😭 #favoriteauthor #readingresolutions

amber_ldsmom OMG, I had ALL the Fear Street books and I loved Christopher Pike as well. I guess I did the same thing and got rid of them all when I “grew up.” 😭 6y

Took me a while to get into this one. Once I finally hunkered down, it was a very quick read. Plot on this one was pretty easy to guess right away and I didn‘t really feel like any of the characters were likable 🤷‍♀️ Probably would have bailed if I had got this at the library, but since I paid for it, I felt obligated to finish.

Mehso-so

I didn‘t find the book to be very gripping, but it was fine enough to finish. Maybe I‘ve had too many amnesia books lately.😅 The “twists” were pretty predictable, and the one I didn‘t see coming was sort of meh, since I didn‘t feel much for the characters of this book. Very quick #audiobook to make the work day fly by.

MelissaSue81 This is what I‘m reading now. I didn‘t much like her first book, so I‘m not sure what possessed me to pick this one up, but my hopes are not high! 6y
Wandering_Jess @MelissaSue81 I actually just got her first book, but because it was only $1 at a library sale. So at least if I hate it, I helped support my local 😂 It is probably near the bottom of my #TBR 6y
