This is not book related but I just felt like sharing that the last time I cut my hair this short was like 10 years ago, until I did now on a whim and I‘m feeling really good about it!

Book 10 of the Popsugar challenge (A book told from multiple characters POV)
I had initially picked one of the heroes of olympus series for this prompt, but I have just read this one as the book of the month from one of the book clubs I‘m in, and found that it‘s narrated from different povs! I liked this book a lot, the only problem was that I felt the writing needed a little more polishing in some parts. :)

So these were my reads of January 2019. I‘ve only managed to read 9 books, with the two weeks of finals plus preparation then having to spend time with my family. I really enjoyed these books nonetheless, and here‘s to many more!

Book 9 of the Popsugar challenge (A book you think should be turned into a movie)
This one was tricky because I‘d have to read the book to wish it would be made into a movie. On the Goodreads group though, a lot of people recommended this one, and after reading reviews and the blurb on the back, I did think it would make a cute movie. :)

Tashaxlynn I‘ve been dying to read this, it‘s on my amazon wishlist! 6mo
Rbabyblue @Tashaxlynn are you getting it anytime soon? We could read it together! Well not@together together but at the same time lol 6mo
Tashaxlynn I didn‘t necessarily plan to, but I could! Lol that would be fun! 6mo

Rbabyblue @Tashaxlynn well let me know when you do! I could put reading it on hold, my TBR pile is so big it would be no big deal to move on to some other book 😆 6mo
Tashaxlynn Okay! I‘ll order it this week! And then let you know when it gets here! 6mo

Ahh idk why it‘s taking me a long time to get into this book! I started it 2 days ago and I‘m still on page 86! Then again, my gf came over (she‘s not into books at all :( ) and we‘ve been spending time together, and since i‘m done with finals, I‘m getting myself back into my old habits and pastimes (other than reading). I‘m also really bad at managing my time lol. I‘ll try to read as much as I can when I go to bed.

So I have just finished a book and I‘m trying to pick what to read next, then I get to thinking that I haven‘t read any comics in a while. Maybe I‘ll read some right now. 🤔

review
Rbabyblue
Sharp Objects: A Novel | Gillian Flynn
Mehso-so

Hm.. This book brought up some deep rooted issues i‘ve been repressing for a while lol. I don‘t know what to think of it. It was very compelling, very disturbing, with a bunch of things that rubbed me the wrong way, mostly from a personal, subjective pov. My review would be biased. Also, kinda figured out the catch halfway into the book.
The book was also relevant to my studies which is great, been wanting to read some fiction in relation to that

Book 6 of the Popsugar Challenge (A book with a two-word title)

Tbh I still haven‘t decided whether to put it in this category or: a book you meant to read in 2018, but I think I‘ll stick with this one bc I have A LOT of books I wanted to read in 2018. L‘embarras du choix
I‘ve also decided to postpone reading WYG Bernadette to February, bc it has been chosen as the Feb read of the popsugar group, thought I‘d participate in the monthly challenge

Tashaxlynn I had such a hard time putting this book down when I was reading it! 6mo
Rbabyblue @Tashaxlynn same tbh! Just finished it right now lol. 6mo
Tashaxlynn @Rbabyblue what did you think?! 6mo
Rbabyblue @Tashaxlynn i have posted a kinda review earlier! With the character limit on litsy it‘s hard to elaborate on the subject hahah 6mo

Finally bought a bookshelf that fits my (tiny) room! Now it needs to be filled! I left a lot of my books back home (in my parents‘ house) and I‘ve been mostly reading ebooks. Tomorrow is my last day of finals (FINALLY! I‘m so so tired) and i‘ll probably reward myself with some book shopping! Any recommendations would be more than welcome! #bookrecommendations

Book 4 of the popsugar challenge (A book set on a college or university campus)
After I posted the picture of the books I had purchased, practically 90% of the comments urged me to start with this book. I hope I‘ll like it as much as they did!
Also, I didn‘t have any bookmark and I couldn‘t really go shopping today so I made my own using some printable pattern I found online and a ribbon. It‘s not the best but it‘s convenient lol

I found a few words that I had underlined on my first attempt to read this book when I was around 10 years old, back when I had to get my huge dictionary and look through the alphabetically arranged words instead of typing them into my phone.
I might move this book to ‘a book that makes you nostalgic‘

Book 2 of the popsugar challenge (A ghost story)

This is a children‘s book that was given to me by a classmate when I was in elementary school. I‘m ashamed to say that I still haven‘t read it, although it has survived through the years and the multiple times I moved houses.
I picked it because I‘m in the middle of midterms and needed something short and light to read between revisions, and well, I guess this is its time 😂
