This was such a cute book! And funny! And I *may* have borrowed this from my 10 year-old daughter.

Reread this one in preparation for the show (which I haven‘t seen all of yet but am loving so far) and also for #popsugarreadingchallenge task to reread a favorite. I read this one first shortly after it was published and I think I missed a lot of the humor because I was too young for it but I loved it anyway. That made it a good choice for a reread, because it was almost a totally new experience!

Caroline2 😆 that sign is awesome!! 14h

When I read the blurb for this book, I expected a fun, over-the-top, absurd, & silly story. And that‘s what this is. I laughed throughout this book! Simply put, it‘s a wild, fantastical ride! A singing competition held in space determines which species lives or dies. Eurovision meets Hitchhiker‘s Guide To The Galaxy.

Cinfhen It was silly fun but somewhere along the way the silly stopped being fun for me. Glad u liked it 😊 20h

As beautiful and ethereal as I remember from the first time I read it a year ago. #pop19 #popsugar2019 #popsugarreadingchallenge

This wasn‘t perfect but it was highly enjoyable and kind of how I imagined a lot of behind-the-scenes stuff with Fleetwood Mac might have gone. It was my choice for book with a plant in the title for #popsugarreadingchallenge

#SorryNotSorry for the small photo dump from this book the last few days. An introspective look into our society when it comes to racism, pop music, toxic masculinity, intersectionality, and the entertainment industry from poet and musician Kyle Tran Myhre. Some parts got bogged down in technicality but the message was solid.

#Unpopularopinion time! I actually enjoyed it, & I didn't know who the author was beforehand. It needed better editing & some of the dialogue was unrefined, but I listened to the audio & the "juvenile" conversational tone makes sense. He narrated well, & after a slow start I became fully invested til the end. It's not for everyone, but this trip thru a tormented mind was pretty terrifying. The mental health aspect resonated with me. 3⭐️s

This was a good middle grade book. It provided a good picture into what life is like for a girl in a Muslim country, but ended with an optimistic sense of agency.

4thhouseontheleft My daughter and I read this together over winter break, we both really liked it. We went out to a Pakistani restaurant afterwards which is now in our rotation of favorite places to eat! 2w
