It was a simple read but there was just so much story to tell in this little book. I loved getting to know Idgie, Ruth, Stump, Ninnie and the others. My hardworking fiancé is super tired but taking me out for wings today. I couldn‘t ask for a better partner next to me, grinding. About halfway through the tagged book and it‘s cute. I‘m enjoying the easy read.

My dinner was fried green tomatoes, macaroni and cheese, and baked sweet potatoes. Unfortunately I ate everything else before I could get a picture.
Also, lemon cake for dessert. All homemade. It‘s nice to be settling into the new house.
(The pasta is whole wheat, so is the cake, and the tomatoes‘ breading is made with cornmeal - so it‘s all healthy, right?)
I think we often overlook intergenerational female friendships like Evelyn and Ninny‘s, but I think they‘re vital for social happiness. More so, maybe, than peer friendships
