Fantastic. I found myself constantly noting quotes. Loved, loved, loved Daisy as a strong, yet realistically flawed, female character. Way more heart and emotion than I anticipated. #ATY2019

Pretty proud of my scoring, especially since most of the blanks are due to my library obsession. Although my current goal is to donate the books I do have and buy only my favorites.

Tagging my favorite read so far this year.

The language was a bit “young adult” at times so I‘d love to Angie Thomas write a full adult book given her amazing lenses. Really coming to love her for a good story with social commentary. #ATY2019

Such mixed feelings. No one can argue with French‘s amazing writing at this point and I actually really liked how the story came together. It was just a bit long-winded for me. But what else can we expect from French? #ATY2019 #24B4Monday

I tried. I really did. I thought the scary movie lover in me would be all over this. But 100 pages later and I just can‘t get into the writing. It‘s not so much the lack of quotations but just general voice. Sometimes we just have to move on 👍🏻

I can‘t help but think I‘m missing something. Where was the convincing, undeniable love that apparently happened somewhere along the way? I just didn‘t feel for the characters and all of a sudden there‘s this love story I‘m supposed to care so much about. There was some strength in the world building and sense of place but overall a very meh read #whatsthefuss #ATY2018 #aroundtheyearin52books
