I have never used card deck exercises before but when I came across these, I was very curious. The official publication date isn't until next month, but I bought directly from the publisher and got them early. 😊 #naturalitsy #selfcare #trauma #mindfulness #mindfulawareness #carddeck

TheBookHippie Oh nice. I like this idea. 3d

“search Instagram and you'll find more than sixty million posts tagged with #SelfCare. They run the gamut from beachside yoga to triumphant mommy blogs to 'curative' smoothie recipes. If we use social media as our guide, self-care appears to be... anything that looks good in a photo?“

I have finished reading this book. While I took some notes, I still need to organize and input them into my planner so that I can work on my goals effectively. Additionally, I need to review the attached PDF materials to see if there is anything else that I need to extract from them. #SelfCareIsNotSelfish

I plan to listen to one chapter of this #SelfCare book every day while journaling and taking notes.

If you can‘t tell I‘m a little preoccupied with how messy my house is 🙃

I get amazed when I see all these people all of the things they clean daily or weekly on FB. I‘m horrible at cleaning, luckily I have a husband that cleans the bathrooms & we have a pretty even split of tasks. This is not really a how to clean book but more of a reminder to go easy on yourself. I think in a world of where we see all these images of perfection on social media it‘s hard to not feel overwhelmed. I also like how the author highlights

ncsufoxes some of the reasons why so many people can struggle with keeping up with care tasks. Also that some people may have negative connotations connected to cleaning. “shame is the enemy of functioning” I found her insights helpful & nice reminders to not worry about things always being perfect. #bookspin 1mo
