Passion. I ended up looking up the definition, and it stated as “a strong and barely controllable emotion.” The passion that goes into hate and love are perhaps too similar that sometimes, it could be frightening. This book definitely represented it well. A light summer read!

KadaGul @Anchobi413 I was going to read 📖 first before watch 👀 the movie 🎦 #BooktoMovie 3mo
Anchobi413 @KadaGul My thoughts exactly, Will be watching the movie this weekend! (edited) 3mo

Saw this one with my husband. I feel like it‘s best when you aren‘t expecting it to be exactly like the book. (But we all know books and movies don‘t end up the same). Either way, I liked the movie for what it was —- and Batista is such a great actor :) #BookToMovie

Anxious People: A Novel | Fredrik Backman

My first Fredrick Backman book was great! I loved the characters and the way the story unfolded, even if the ending was a little unbelievable. I thought Backman handled several difficult topics with grace and humor, and I look forward to reading his other books. The miniseries on Netflix was worth watching as well! #anxiouspeople #2023 #booktomovie

Today I finished the thriller series "Katanjemande" on Netflix. It is the book adaptation of the book with the same title by Sören Sveistrup. I don't read the book and I like the series.

Very rarely do I go and see two movies in the same day (think this was the first time that I did this). I thought they were both excellent films and while both were @ complete opposite ends of the movie spectrum, they did everything that I expected they would do. Mrs. Harris was a pure joy to watch and Crawdads was introspective and tinged w/ a bit of sadness. I hadn‘t read either novel prior to seeing the movie adaptations. #booktomovie

melissajayne Mrs. Harris is the sort of movie I can see myself when I need a bit of pick me up, same as Julie & Julia does for me at present. Crawdads would be for a rainy day of sorts or for when my book club does the book. Both are wonderful and well done and now I need to read the books… 1y
tpixie @melissajayne The Mrs Harris movie left the theaters before I could get to it. I‘m gonna have to check out the book. Crawdads movie was great and so was the book.! 14mo

I had a very specific way I wanted this book to end, and fortunately it ended perfectly. I liked the main character and his interactions with the future versions of himself. But the “stories” within the story felt kind of unnecessary and didn‘t add anything to the overall plot.

Day 211.
Here I will note 365 books (or as many as I will have before I get tired) that have shaped my taste in literature. No explanations, no reviews. Just the cover of the book.
I do not challenge anyone. You are all welcome to take part.

So, this book was very short, so it was easy to get through. But I really didn't enjoy it. I am not the right audience for this book. I haven't seen the movie in forever, so I have it on right now for background noise. #BookToMovie

HollyBolly I read this after seeing the movie a while ago while I was in high school or maybe college. Thus is one of those rare instances where the movie was better. 2y
ElizaMarie @HollyBolly YES! I rarely say that the movie was better, but this one is definitely the case! 2y
