Wow, I'm amazed its been so long since I posted here! I have a good few reviews to post but for now here's my current read.
I'm enjoying it but it's set in the Victorian era but the language isn't quite right and I keep forgetting. Also, Will feels like a copy of Jace from The Mortal Instruments and i keep picturing him.
But I am enjoying it ☺️

so-soI don't know....I'm a bit disappointed. I really didn't like the parts with Goldman but it was enjoyable as a whole and made me chuckle plenty of times. I think I prefer the movie 🤔

This series is fantastic! Each book has been a 5 star read for me (fingers crossed for book 4). We get some great character interactions and developments in this one and some spaceship travel which was one of the things holding it back from feeling more like science fiction to me. Spaceships mean science fiction! The fantasy and sci-fi blend doesn‘t suffer for this though.

I avoid tagging authors at all. Reviews are for readers but I know authors like to share good reviews during the initial release so I sometimes tag them then but it's very rare.

Cat & Bones make a pointless appearance as well making what could have been a stand-alone in the universe spoilery 😕

On page 289/532 now and I'm sucked into the story 😁 we get to explore so much more of the world Chance has created with the Dory series over the Cassie ones. She's a bit busy time-hopping to lunch with fey & trolls. I'm loving all the magical stuff I wasn't aware of.

On page 138 of 532 (didn't realise this book was so big but it has been 6 years in the making), I am enjoying it, loving all the banter between the main characters but I'm getting a little bit frustrated at seeming lack of direction for the book. At page 138 I'd expect to have an idea of the main plot but it seems to be a mash up of random events and fightscenes. I'm sure it will all come together I just want more direction.

I had a friend visiting overnight so no reading then and I'm now going away for the weekend so it's unlikely I'll read then either. Oh well, I'll read what I can and complete some of the other tasks 😊 There's always next year 📚

pickFinished this last night, it was so good!!! The early books in this series are miles apart from the recent ones. It went from 0 sex to constant sex!! I dont have a problem with sexy books its just that this series had such a good story!!

pickJust finished this, it was really interesting but not much of a love story. Yeats was so in love with Gonne, she did not feel the same but for some reason wanted to nuture his feelings for her. A bit cruel I think.
This book seemed to focus more on Maud's story which seems to be more interesting anyway!
I got this in my haul on Friday and discovered today that it won the Gold Man Booker which is pretty cool. The movie adaption is one of my absolute favourite movies so I'm very excited to read this.
Also i just took a bunch of photos for my Instagram (@elainehowlin_ if you're interested) so we'll have the odd fancy photo but i prefer to use litsy as a kind of reading companion.

Straight into The Laughing Corpse after finishing Guilty Pleasures. Really enjoying rereading the series, the books are just as good as the first time I read them! I'm not sure how far I'll get with them....I stopped reading the series around book 15 but i doubt I'll get that far this time.
