pickThis book just feels physically good in my hands. It enlightened me so about what it means to be Deaf and the challenges navigating the hearing world. It was painful to read what she heard and what was actually spoken and what she had to do ALL THE TIME to figure it out. There was also lots of hope. All good things. Not bad.
Max a guy with multi personalities, is also a serial killer. He talks to Dr. Cogan while being held, she needs to confirm his illness before being put to death. But he breaks out of Jail and then kidnaps the doc, where she really starts to get to know all of his personalities.
Very good, don't read if you can't handle rape, or violence.

#110 of my year. When I was 17 I found a copy of this book at a church yard sale and really liked it. I also remember Kurt Cobain often mentioning it and that‘s mainly why I read it lol gonna give it a reread since I only read it the once and gonna try to find the movie 🖤
