High expectations for this one! With all the hype I have to say I was disappointed. This wasn‘t bad but it wasn‘t great. My prediction was right about a certain character but good plot twist at the end.

Over all it was okay. Had me from the start I gave it 3/5 because it was too long for no good reason. Had it been half the size I could of given it a 4-5. Still worth the read I think!

This Is How It Always Is.

I would of never expected this to end up with five stars. Someone in a book group said "this is a must read for everyone" whether you agree or not you should read this & I did. This story opened my eyes and gave me empathy for those going through it and their parents. What I liked about it was this story raised a lot of real doubts, issues and denial parents face. Pick this up you won't be disappointed.

I really enjoyed this read, it was light and funny at times. Not morbid at all. Caitlin Doughty is a mortician who answers questions from children about death. It was really entertaining and I also learned a lot of interesting things.

Mehhhh.. my expectations were high for this book after reading so many raving reviews. I thought it started good, had me engaged and then became very slow through out majority of the book until the end. I didn‘t feel like there was much happening. I gave it 3 stars for a good ending.

I rarely rate books three stars. This was more of a 3.5 but closer to 3 I would say. It started strong, I was really loving it but a little more than half way through I started losing interest. It didn‘t go the direction I was hoping it was going to go.

I first read the great alone before this ( a book I really loved) with all the hype it was hard to believe it could top it. Ultimately it did. This is a great story.

I read two chapters & just couldn't get into this for some reason.
