I'm spending some time, or trying to spend some time catching up in my reading journal when #Banksy and #Mittens decide to play/fight. It isn't enough that they get in my face during reading time. Silly boys!!

I've been pondering this #bookjournal format for awhile and I'm ready to give it a try. The sections are To Remember, To Do, and Geeking Out! I read a lot of #nonfiction and have tried taking notes like I learned in school as well as marking passages-- neither methods are working for me. Hopefully this will!
If you decide to try this format, let me know how it goes! Do you have a note taking format that works well for you?

I saw this idea from Litsy! Love the way it turned out. #bookjournal

CBee The Folk of the Air series is amazing!! 4w
KateReadsYA @CBee I've heard that too and I wanted to add the serpent and dove trilogy but I don't want to have too much on my tbr haha but I'm thinking next year. :) 4w
rubyslippersreads This is a great idea! Series can be so hard to keep track of, especially when the books have similar titles. 4w
KateReadsYA @rubyslippersreads I know. I love that someone else posted this so I could use it as a guide to keep track. I can't wait to add more eventually 4w

A really cute manga created after Shinibumaru‘s stories about a bookstore in the spirit realm. It reminds me of “The Ancient Magus‘s Bride.” #manga #bookjournal

It is almost July?!?! Guess it is time for a new #bookspin list! #bookjournal

TheAromaofBooks Woohoo!! Love your layout!!! 1mo
wisherwishinguponastar @TheAromaofBooks Thanks! And thanks for doing #bookspin every month! It keeps me reading! 1mo
TheAromaofBooks It's such a simple challenge that I'm still astounded at how it has taken off haha I do enjoy that it's evolved into something that can be adjusted to different levels of commitment/want-to. I'm all about flexibility and I LOVE seeing how different people use this challenge differently to inspire themselves to read!! 1mo

Bittersweet romances are clearly becoming my thing. I wish there was more to this manga, but it was a very good one shot! #manga #bookjournal

Volumes 1 and 2 cover season 1 of the anime from the 90s. I remember watching that on tv while I tried to put my hair in Usagi‘s buns. The manga is a bit darker, but you don‘t get to spend as much time with the other Sailor Guardians. It is still super fun to finally be reading this! #bookjournal #manga

I would like to formally apologize if you heard my disheartened cry when I found out that this is the finale for my current favorite series. The poor people at my local Barnes and Noble must have irreparable damage to their ears. (Just kidding, but I am sad that this is goodbye to these characters. I can‘t wait to see Fujita‘s next project!!!) #manga #bookjournal

I have been reading this for two months and while I enjoyed the first two in this series, l am going to tap out. I like the relationships developed in the prior novels, but everything in this one is very big and very anticlimactic. I read a summary and I guess this isn‘t my thing even though I really wanted it to be. #bookjournal (How do you guys deal with DNF shame? Because I am feeling it right now.)

Bookgoil I don‘t often dnf but I wish I did now on the last two in that series that came out. I didn‘t mind that one it gets exciting at the end like all Maas books but I‘ve fully given up on the author as each book I read gets worse to me so I think it‘s time to move on. I sometimes retry a dnf later if I think it‘s a mood thing. One I felt the exact same way and another I loved so much just depends. 2mo
wisherwishinguponastar @Bookgoil I am just glad to know that I am not the only person. I think Maas does relationships really well, but that all got put to the side for the gigantic conflict. That part of her story was just kind of dry and a little wishy washy. 2mo
Bookgoil @booksellerofyourdiscontent I think her writing is getting worse over time not better 🤣 and she‘s trying to add a lot more “smut” in these later books now. (edited) 2mo
