Despite being under the weather, this is the progress I was able to make a couple of days before the doctor prescribed medicine and rest. Colds will do that to you!

Based on how things are looking now, there might be room for more books! ???

I even "unhauled" a small couple that I no longer wanted to read and will be great additions to a future library sale.

For now, back to resting I go!

Mitch The Virgo in me loves your straight lines 💕💕💕💕 12mo
Librariana @Mitch - The Virgo in me thanks the Virgo in you! Yay Virgos!! I actually lay a book down and move it along the shelf to edge all the others up to it so they match 😁 I hope that explanation/visual made sense 😊💜📚 12mo
Mitch @Librariana Great tip! I keep mine flush with the shelf edge and enjoy running my finger across spine and shelf edge to make sure it‘s flush! 🤣 12mo

Texreader I love your Pops still in boxes! 12mo
Hooked_on_books Looks great! 😍 12mo
Librariana Thanks, @Texreader! My husband and I have collected a few more. Once I've got everything unpacked, I may have to rearrange to accommodate the others. We also have Saga, Bob's Burgers, Walking Dead, and a few Marvel as well as DC superheroes. 12mo
Librariana @Hooked_on_books - Thanks, Holly! Now I just need to make some space to fit a couch! Every library needs a seating area 😄😁😊💜📚 12mo
Hooked_on_books @Librariana Definitely! I have recent found cushioned lounge type chairs quite comfortable and they fit a smaller space, so that could work. 😉 12mo

It's coming along slowly but surely!
We've been in our new casita 🏡 (little house) for almost a month now and we haven't been able to get as much unpacked and set up as we'd like.
The combination of work and personal commitments haven't really lent themselves to much time at home, but the hubby and I are trying - he in the garage, me in our library.
I hope to share the final, more presentable product with y'all soon!

Andrew65 Looking great! 14mo
LauraBrook Fun! And love the collection of Starbucks mugs too! Can‘t wait to see how it all looks when the shelves are full of books. 💜 14mo

Library #workinprogress. This is my new bookcase. We took the chimney down, so I have more bookshelf space than before! I just didn't think it would be this full already...

Early morning dr appointment ~ only 20 pages in but I‘m already captivated. Fry is witty & wise and very “readable” and I‘m fine... just getting some blood work done.

Chrissyreadit Do you read Hebrew? (Or do I have the wrong language?) 1y
Cinfhen Right language @Chrissyreadit I‘m getting better at reading & understanding but I‘m a total #WorkInProgress😉 1y
Chrissyreadit @Cinfhen wow! I have friends who went to Hebrew school as children and my Aunt spoke Hebrew, although I believe her family primarily spoke Yiddish. (My great grandparents were from Eastern Europe) Good for you learning as an adult! 1y
See All 22 Comments
Cinfhen My grandparents and great grandparents also spoke Yiddish but not necessarily Hebrew @Chrissyreadit I moved to Israel 4 years ago so learning Hebrew is kind of less of a choice and more of a means....I‘ve gotten pretty good with the restaurant menus 😊😜but overall my Hebrew sucks!! 1y
Chrissyreadit @Cinfhen do you speak Hebrew? 1y
Chrissyreadit @Cinfhen I did not realize you lived in Israel! Do you like it? Funny fact... when I was young I had a pen pal from Israel- she sent me my first “gift” bookmark! 1y
Chrissyreadit @Cinfhen do you use English a lot in Israel or more Hebrew? I‘m always fascinated by languages. I was born to be a polyglot but am unfortunately monolingual. 1y
Cinfhen Ha!! That‘s funny @Chrissyreadit yay for pen pals!!! I‘d say I‘m about a third grade level Hebrew 🙄it‘s been an interesting journey xx I love the community and I‘ve made some really wonderful friendships. I enjoy the weather and Mediterranean cuisine but it‘s not the easiest place to live....Culturally, geographically - it‘s very different than suburban Pennsylvania 😉 1y
Cinfhen Yes!! Where I live the community is 70% Anglo speaking... so it‘s American, British, Australian, Canadian, South African ~ which makes it much easier to communicate @Chrissyreadit 🙏🏻 1y
Chrissyreadit @Cinfhen I bet! It is so interesting culturally! Do your kids like it? Is this your forever home? BTW, I could say the same about WV- culturally difficult, not the easiest place to live, but still some great community and friendships. 😏Now I‘m even more curious! 1y
Chrissyreadit @Cinfhen I love that it is so culturally diverse but all in Israel- do most people jump into an Israel lifestyle or are there touches like restaurants or food from other countries but Kosher? 1y
Cinfhen Food wise israel is richly diverse and has become quite a culinary destination. Some chefs adhere to the kosher guidelines but there are still plenty of places that serve non-kosher food or mix meat & dairy together in their cooking. @Chrissyreadit I think for me the hardest part is the mindset...I think like an “American” where manners are important and you think about the whole and not the self. 👇🏼 1y
Cinfhen I don‘t want to stereotype or generalize but I find majority of Israeli‘s are rude or maybe a bit abrasive 1y
Cinfhen I think these are people who are constantly on edge. Unfortunately for a small, young country they have seen plenty of wars & conflicts @Chrissyreadit ☹️ (edited) 1y
Cinfhen I‘m not sure about my forever home but for now we are navigating and learning to appreciate the history that this country offers. @Chrissyreadit and my kids will probably be in therapy for years!!! I took them from a suburban community and dropped them in a desert😂😂 but it‘s all good!! (edited) 1y
Chrissyreadit @Cinfhen thanks for answering my questions! I‘m always curious about life in other places. Do your kids see themselves traveling more? I would love for them to have opportunities to increase seeing the world in terms of lifestyle not just vacation. 1y
Cinfhen My kids are somewhat older @Chrissyreadit my oldest is 25, she stayed behind in NY & didn‘t move with us. My middle child is 23, he did uni here but moved back to the states last year. He‘s currently working for a start up and lives in LA & my youngest is turning 17 on Sunday. He‘s in high school ( 11th grade) Id say all 3 of my kids are extremely independent, adventurous, well rounded and world travelers. They see the world globally 1y
Cinfhen In that regard I feel like we‘ve given our children a gift to explore and be open to new possibilities and opportunity but it‘s hard to be so scattered 😢😢😢 1y
TrishB @Cinfhen 😢 on the one hand a massive pat on the back for such excellent parenting. On the other I feel your pain ❤️ 1y
Cinfhen Awwww, thank u my friend @TrishB 😘😘😘 it‘s tough being a parent 1y
Chrissyreadit Yes! I can‘t bear the thought that they will move on even while I work to prepare them for it! But then I think time to explore and regroup when it‘s time for grandkids. Where will your youngest go to college? 1y
Cinfhen He‘s actually talking about doing university in Israel @Chrissyreadit which makes me happy...because if all 3 kids end up in the states, I‘m out of here 🦋🦄🕊 1y

So I mentioned before I was in the market for a new bookcase...and the company ended up giving us two and a half new bookcases...so to make room we spent the day yesterday moving furniture, building shelves and taking books down off of old cases so the moving could happen.

My cats, of course, decided to help as much as they could. Veeeeerrryyy helpful. 😸

Victoriahoperose This is so fun! I just started a bullet journal this year and have been listening to my audiobooks while I work on that, but I‘m almost done with the actual layouts and everything. So you have inspired me to pull out a coloring book and try that! 2y
