Weekly Forecast | Thomas Gibson Inc
post image

It‘s a busy week ahead, plus I‘m still all consumed with Fauda, my current Netflix binge. My forecast is a combination of library holds and books for challenges but truthfully I‘m not 💯 feeling it. We‘ll see….

squirrelbrain I‘m going to read The Grapes of Wrath too in March! Hope your reading week works out! 😘 13mo
TrishB Hope you get into some good ones 😁 13mo
Cinfhen I‘m a little anxious about Grapes 😬 @squirrelbrain I‘m hoping it surprises me in a good way - we‘re you assigned Steinbeck in HS @TrishB I‘m thinking probably only US schools did?!? 13mo

squirrelbrain I‘ve read it before, as a teenager, but can‘t remember anything of it. I don‘t *think* we were assigned any Steinbeck at school, but I can‘t be sure. 13mo
Bookzombie I love Grapes of Wrath and I hope you do too. 🙂 13mo
Cinfhen Ohhh, good to know @Bookzombie I read East of Eden a few years ago and was blown away- it was such a FANTASTIC book!!! I‘m hoping I‘ll have a good experience with it @squirrelbrain 13mo
squirrelbrain I thought I had it on my shelf, but it‘s East of Eden that I have. 🤷‍♀️ I also have Cannery Row and Of Mice and Men, but I‘m going for Grapes (from the library) due to the Wrath bit…. #sevendeadlysins. 13mo
Cinfhen Ahhhh!!! SUPER CLEVER @squirrelbrain 13mo

Whose Body? | Dorothy Sayers

Pickpick

@mitch I wanted to join in on the fun too so I listened to the audio of February's #goldenagecrimeclub. Sayers was a new-to-me author and I quite enjoyed this though I found it a bit confusing and might have done better to read it. It also felt like a good 20% of the book was the murdered explaining how he would have gotten away with it if it weren't for that meddling Lord Wimsey and co lol. But still good 3.75⭐️

Mitch Brilliant. Let chat on the last Sunday of the month. 13mo

TheSpineView Great job! 13mo
Andrew65 So easy to start new series 😂 I hope you enjoy the series. 13mo
TheAromaofBooks Woohoo!! I'm planning to read this one this month as well - and I've also not read a Salyers yet, so I'm excited!! 13mo

The Imperfects | Amy Meyerson
post image

I‘m LOVING this book…its literally set on my old street where I first grew up in Lower Merion… Edgehill Road. This would work for several #52Books23 prompts - still not sure which prompt I‘ll use it for. I‘m 💯 certain the author, Amy Meyerson is a local girl…right @DivineDiana ? !! She‘s already named Hymies and Laurel Hill Cemetery 😁

IndoorDame Fun! I read a book set where I grew up last year and it was so cool to see that in print! 14mo

squirrelbrain How cool! 😁 14mo
Read-y_Picker That's so fun!
14mo
CBee I doubt I‘ll ever find a book set in my hometown (Vicksburg, MS) unless it‘s Civil War related nonfiction 🤦‍♀️🤷‍♀️ 14mo
Cinfhen I literally grew up on 203 Edgehill Road - it‘s so random why the author chose that street😄 @CBee @Read-y_Picker @squirrelbrain @IndoorDame - it is pretty cool - I texted all my siblings they weren‘t as amused 😂 14mo
AmyG That‘s pretty wild. What town is this in? Our town in NJ had an Edge Hill. 14mo
Cinfhen It‘s set in Lower Merion, Pa @AmyG outside of Philly - author keeps mentioning local deli‘s and other local spots. She obviously spent time in the area 14mo
AmyG I thought it was PA! It‘s fun reading about places you know. Harlan Coben lives a few towns over from where we lived in NJ and he would write about the area. 14mo
ShelleyBooksie What! Harlan Coben lives by you @AmyG !! Jelly. 14mo
Librarybelle Oh! Stacking! 14mo
AmyG @ShelleyBooksie He used to when we lived in NJ. 2 towns over. 14mo
DivineDiana Thank you for putting on my radar! I visited her Website and read that although she currently lives in Los Angeles area, she is originally from Philadelphia! Stacked! 😘 14mo
Cinfhen Yes, totally love that about Coben @AmyG my brother lives in West Orange and his kids went to the Jewish Day School in Livingston - I need to pick up a Coben, it‘s been a while. I think @Suzze knows Coben @ShelleyBooksie or there‘s a connection 🙌🏻 14mo
Cinfhen I‘m enjoying the book @Librarybelle @DivineDiana interesting history too but it‘s a little slow in the middle. I‘m listening to audio via hoopla & I always like Cassandra Campbell as a reader🙌🏻 14mo
Bklover 2nd package has arrived. 😁😁😁👏👏👏❤️❤️❤️ #muglove 14mo
Cinfhen Yay @Bklover 🙌🏻I haven‘t spoken to my mom since I arrived in Morocco/ terrible Wi-Fi but I assume package has arrived. Going to Fez today so maybe Wi-Fi will improve ❣️😄 14mo
Suzze @Cinfhen @AmyG @ShelleyBooksie I haven‘t talked to Harlan in years, but I got to know him early on in his career. He even used my name, Suzze T. as a character in a couple of his books. 13mo
Cinfhen Hi @Suzze ♥️what‘s new??? Hope all is well 13mo
ShelleyBooksie What!!!! That is SO amazing!!! I would faint if he wrote my name in a book. LOL 13mo
Suzze @Cinfhen I‘m pretty good. I hang out mostly on TikTok (BookTok) @suzzereadsalot 13mo
Cinfhen I haven‘t ventured onto TikTok @Suzze hell, im still not on FB 😂😂😂but I‘m glad to hear you‘re well. 13mo

Seven Ways We Lie | Riley Redgate

"So hold on one more day," he says. "That's all you need, is to wake up and say, one more. and once you make it through, you wake up the next morning, and you say it again. One more. You hold on for enough one-more-days, they‘ll turn into months and years, and before you know it, you‘ll have met so many wonderful people and discovered 1 million hidden things. All one day at a time."
