DGRachel I hope you enjoy it. It got me out of a reading slump a couple of years ago. 😊 2d

Interesting enough so far, but it wanders quite a long way from the chessmen themselves. It's relevant, e.g. in discussing the material used, but... some of this doesn't feel so necessary.

Jumanji | Chris Van Allsburg

“Jumanji. A game for those who seek to find a way to leave their world behind. You roll the dice to move your token. Doubles gets another turn. And the first player to reach the end wins.“

I admire the pictures in the story because even though there is no color, they have so much life to them. They really add to the story.

Pickpick

This is an exciting, fun book that will keep children on the edge of their seats. It tells the story of a family being submersed into a game, and living in the game until they escape.

Review: The Legend of Rock, Paper, Scissors by Drew Daywalt, 2017 is a picture book about how the game of rock paper scissors started! It is a very funny animated book with amazing illustrations.
Blurb: The book brings three different storylines together by the end and it flows very well throughout.
Quote: “Rock versus clothespin! Rock is victorious!“

Finished this series last night. I'm definitely adding it to my Christmas wish list. So much LOVE. I'm wondering if there are any more books by Stephanie Garber....
