Jess7 I‘m sorry they weren‘t nice! Hope you have a good book to read to take your mind off it! 6y

Ah, yes, the life of a bookseller. Thanks for the reminder, Facebook. Sometimes I really miss bookselling, and sometimes I really don't. 😂

Gnora Oh lordy! 😂 7y
Shvonne How bloody and gory is In The Woods? (edited) 7y
Prairiegirl_reading People are just the worst sometimes. 🙄 7y

KassKho 😂😂every time a customer comes in saying they want one kind of book and you give them a list and then they decide to get a book that has nothing to do with what they asked for #booksellerproblems 7y
MrBook ????????? This happens to me at the library sometimes. I'm the unofficial resident book recommender, so I get the occasional lecture about "yes, I *did*'say that, but I didn't expect this". ??‍♂️? 7y
MrBook @Prairiegirl_reading Some people just can't be satisfied, lol. 🤷🏼‍♂️ 7y
MrBook @KassKho Yesss! 😆👏🏻🙌🏻 7y
Liberty @KassKho I once had a guy come in to buy Fifty Shades for his mom because he had seen it on the NYT list. When I explained what it was about, he turned scarlet, asked for suggestions, and then bought it for her anyway. I've always wondered how that Mother's Day went at their house. 😂 7y
Liberty @Shvonne Well, it opens with a kid drenched in blood... 7y
Sweettartlaura 🤣🤣🤣 7y
drokka Scottish thrillers are nothing if not detailed. They're not called Scottish noir for nothing 😂😂😂 (I've not read Tana French, but presume equally messy and detailed)? 7y
CouronneDhiver Oh, customer service. * sigh * People are ridiculous 7y
balletbookworm Ugh, customers, such a necessary evil. We hates them, preciousssssssaaaa 7y
Shvonne @Liberty I'm sold. 😄 7y
Mommamanzi Lol now I've got to read it so I know how "bad" it is hahaha. 7y
elkeOriginal It sure is nice to look back on bookselling days - and not be living them anymore! LOVE your 50 Shades story too @Liberty 😹😹 7y
DGRachel I guess I need to reread Case Histories because I don't remember it being that bad and certainly no worse than Tana French, but what do I know? I recommended Rules of Prey by John Sandford to a coworker who LOVES James Patterson, especially his Women's Murder Club, and she told me I had ruined her vacation because the book was so disturbing she couldn't relax on the beach or even finish it. 🙄 7y
Liberty @Mommamanzi It's fantastic! I love all her books. 7y
Bette Maybe that Fifty Shades guy was using his mom for as an excuse and really just wanted to read it and you blew his cover. 😂 7y
Amandajoy Yep, now I'm going to have to pick up Case Histories 7y
Dragon I loved Case Histories and read the rest of the series with great enthusiasm. I also loved the British TV series starring Jason Isaacs. That was a solid recommendation.👍😀🐉 7y

When in doubt about book shelving dilemmas, read! Wish this could be the model at the bookstore bc right now we have sooooo many books that need to be shelved. Slowing working at it tho #booksellerproblems #bookwormproblems

aeeklund I wish this were the model at my bookstore, too!! I do stop to read a lot of synopses/blurbs as I shelve, though... 😏 7y

#TuesdayTBR which also happens to be my #SeptemberTBR ;) I will probably stray, as I always do, and obviously ebooks/eARCs aren't featured, but these are some that I've been meaning to get to or NEED to get to! Well, plus like 50 others... Send help! ;) PS: THUNDERSTORMS TODAYYYY ⛈⛈⛈ #TBR #September #ARCs #booksellerproblems

WordWaller @kaysreadinglife I'm actually in the middle of it! But it's so slow so I keep it on these TBR stacks so I don't stop. Right around page 500 right now... So long!! 8y
