This has to be one of the most chilling books I've ever read. It takes the cake on physiological thrillers. I have never read a book where hours, days, weeks, even months later, where just thinking about a character would sends chills down my spine. Other than feeling like it just ended abruptly, I really liked this. Paris made this so dark I wasn‘t sure I actually liked it at one point. I was so afraid that it was going to get hopeless and depressing, but she managed to do a really good job of taking the reader to the brink of where the book would just get depressing and then took us on to the ending.
