Amelie has always been a survivor, from losing her parents as a child in Paris to making it on her own in London. As she builds a life for herself, she is swept up into a glamorous lifestyle where she married the handsome billionaire Ned Hawthorne.

EadieB But then, Amelie wakes up in a pitch-black room, not knowing where she is. Why has she been taken? Who are her mysterious captors? And why does she soon feel safer here, imprisoned, than she had begun to feel with her husband Ned? 3mo
EadieB This is a great thriller, a perfect escape read. It is a fascinating tale of mystery and intrigue. It is a character study of human behavior. The unexpected twists and turns kept me on the edge of my seat from the very beginning until the very end. The pacing was lightening fast and kept me reading. This is definitely the best B.A. Paris book and I would highly recommend it to others. If you like mystery thrillers then you will love this book. 3mo
EadieB I would like thank NetGalley and St. Martin's Press for a copy for an honest review. 3mo

+Uhmmm.. It was infuriating to read. But I'm honestly glad that it was over. 😂 I almost DNF, but since it was my friend's recommendation, I should at least try to finish it.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
+Also, there's a lot of plot holes. The ending was predictable and satisfying. If you like domestic thriller, this book is for you.⁣⁣

The Therapist | B A Paris

@StMartinsPress [free book]

I enjoyed The Therapist just as much as Paris‘ other books for many reasons. Instead of diving right into the drama, this novel starts out by simply introducing the characters and their place in life, allowing the reader to get to know them at almost a personal level.

The simmering progression of the plot made things occur in a way that felt natural, rather than forced or ridiculous. This is a fun thriller!!

Alice and Leo move to a house in a gated community called The Circle near London. Leo never informed Alice that Nina, a therapist, was murdered in their house. When Alice finds out she is obsessed to figure out which of her interesting neighbors might be the murderer. They all seem to be harboring secrets.
This psychological thriller kept the pages turning to the surprise ending.

EadieB B.A. Paris is a master storyteller and she made all the characters seem like suspects to me. I was hooked from the start and I am looking forward to reading more books by Paris in the future. Highly recommend! I would like to thank NetGalley and St. Martin's Press for a free copy for an honest review. 2y

I've never read anything by #BAParis but I just took a scroll through her Twitter feed, and it is filled with her supporting and promoting other authors (especially other women), and thanking fans for their support. I always love to see that kind of appreciation and women uplifting women!

For those who are fans: where would you recommend beginning with her works?
