This story was good, but it could have been a lot better. I didn't trust Sam at all. I was surprised by the twist. I didn't really care for the ending but it could lead to a part 2 if the author cares to do that. If I say more it will ruin it for others. Definitely worth the read.

Low pick for me. The only reason why I gave it a pick is because I read it in less than 24 hours. A young pregnant girl gets trapped in the snow after crashing her car and is rescued by a big burly scary man. She is taken to his house where she meets his wife and thinks everything should be ok…until it‘s not! Not my favorite book by Mcfadden, but still easily readable and always has a good twist at the end.

A dark, unsettling and disturbing read in all the best of ways.Told between alternating time lines, it was a captivating read that had me on the Swanson rollercoaster and ready to ride.Just when I was smugly thinking I knew where things were going,Peter expertly showed me he is the writer of this book and I am just clueless and along for the ride.A thought provoking read that will have you questioning peoples morals and motivations ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

As a new nurse practitioner at a maximum-security prison, Brooke Sullivan is taught three crucial rules:

Treat all prisoners with respect.

Never reveal any personal information.

Never EVER become too friendly with the inmates.

But nobody knows that Brooke has already broken the rules. Nobody knows about her intimate connection to Shane Nelson, one of the penitentiary's most notorious and dangerous inmates

Held captive from the first chapter,it was another thriller read that was just too good to put down that I ended up reading in one day.The tension and suspense were almost too much for me to bear whilst reading this book, it was such a wild ride. The darkness of some of the characters and the twists left me spellbound by Jennifer's writing. One of my favourite thriller writers an autobuy author for me, her books are truly addictive reading.⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
