Forced to make a random jump Everett and the crew of the Everness end up in a world where dinosaurs did not become extinct and who want to expand into other alternative worlds.
Very exciting. I thought it was a self-contained trilogy but several story threads, including the ending, are left hanging obviously expecting another in the series, which hasn't appeared 9 years later so probably isn't going to.
Not an end to the adventure, but a much better finishing point for this instalment of the series.
I continue to marvel at McGuire's unending creativity in the worlds she creates and further develops. This is both in designing the manner of the world's functioning and the spare yet exquisitely fitting descriptions of the way things/characters look, even as the fantasy is often tinged with horror. 1/?

I liked the addition of the new character here, and learning more about the Crow Girl! And eeeek, I wonder what will happen when Avery and Zib return, at this rate -- they'll have changed so much. If they ever go home?
Probably the last book of the “Invisible Library” series.
probably a 3.5/5 for me. I enjoyed the premise of the whole series and thought Genevieve had a very.. fairytale like story for this one. However, I really do not like the romance aspect and it feels… forced and I think this book would‘ve been better stretched into two. Also disappointed by the lack of focus on stealing books.
