dabbe @lil1inblue Me, too! I loved that the stories were short, too! 😂 I adored teaching THE ILIAD and THE ODYSSEY to my honors freshmen. They didn't love it as much as I did, though! 😍 3w

SamAnne In the desert of SE Oregon, on Steens Mountain, one can find many carvings in the old aspen by Basque and other sheepherders from the early 1900s, maybe earlier. They are still there. Very cool, except for the disturbing carvings of female figures with antlers. Likely a little later by white dudes. 3w

Did you know (I didn‘t) that the cashew is not a nut? It‘s the seed of a cashew apple, classified as a “drupe.” The book, “A Tree a Day,” inspired me to research this - there is a page devoted to The Cashew of Pirangi in Brazil - it‘s enormous! #naturalitsy #weirdwords #weirdwordwednesday
