➡Young Adult Romantic Fiction
➡Me and @May14 decided to read the whole series together
➡A 17 year old girl named Bella Swan moved into a gloomy neighborhood named “forks“ she meets this guy name Edward cullen, they become a thing and turns out he is a vampire, but not an ordinary vampire, him and his family survive off of animal blood, but a mean vampire hunts after Bella, luckily Edward and his family manage to save her.

MrMisterMeditate @Maddisson_B8291 I am team Edward. 2mo
May14 I am excited to see what the next novel brings! #TeamEdward.

There are 2 types of people in this world. Those who like Twilight and those who don't admit to liking twilight 😂 I loved this book, though so many years later I am still struggling between Team Edward and Team Jacob...
As much as I enjoyed this book, it isn't one of my top favourites, though fellow bookworms may agree one can never have a favourite book.
#Preach #Twilight #TeamEdward #TeamJacob #WhyNotBoth 🤣🥰

Reread on audio of book one did not disappoint at all... in fact, I‘m switching this from a so-so to a pick, and 3 stars on GR to 4. 😃

I get the issues people have with the Edward/Bella relationship, but this isn‘t meant to be great literature, folks. The writing is not as bad as some say, and the story is fun and engaging.

I‘m still unapologetically Team Edward. 😍

monalyisha #TeamJacob. But if I actually think about it & admit hard truths to myself, #TeamNobody. 😅 7mo
sprainedbrain @monalyisha both are valid teams. 😂 7mo

monalyisha Honestly, with reflection, I almost always find that I‘m #TeamNobody. Gilmore Girls (re:Rory)? #TeamNobody. Sex & The City? #TeamNobody (though I loved Aidan). Buffy? #TeamAngel ftw can‘t give you up, won‘t give you up. 😅 7mo
sprainedbrain @monalyisha I‘m with you on Angel. Always Angel. 😍 7mo
brit91 One of my favorite books!!😍😍 7mo

New Moon | Stephenie Meyer
post image

After my impromptu weekend movie binge, I had Twilight on the brain. I re-read the first book at some point over the last year, so diving into New Moon now and the nostalgia IS SO REAL ? I'm immediately transported back to a time when I read and re-read these books on repeat, watched the movies a gazillion times, and the biggest drama I had with my friends was arguing "Team Edward" vs "Team Jacob". Ahhh, memories ??

That-Bookish-Hiker I was the same way. I took my twilight books with me every where and reread them so many times. My sister in law and I went to the midnight showings of each movie lol. Man those are good memories. 1y
sudi I was Team Edward🙈, what about you ? 1y
Birdsong28 Not read the books but enjoyed the movies. Team Jacob all the way 🐺🐺🐺🐺🐺 1y

Notafraidofwords Everyone is rereading these and I can‘t look away. Hate the movie but gosh did I love the books. 1y
swishandflick Oh I was Team Edward all the way 🧛🏻‍♂️ though I LOVED Taylor Lautner as Jacob in the movies 🐺👏🏽 @sudi @Birdsong28 (edited) 1y
MeesesPieces I‘m re-reading too! I‘m almost done with Eclipse. I was team Edward too but I loved Jacob. I guess I was in Bella‘s position haha! 1y
zzz Love it! 1y
The_Heeler_Booklife I have been wanting to do a reread so bad. I used to reread the series all the time. Love the books more than the movies. #teamedward 1y

Everytime I read a Jane Austen book, I want to say #Ibelieveinathingcalledlove ❤️

In 2009 I had my first real break up, and my parents divorced, so my faith in love wasn‘t really a big thing. I spent a lot of time immersed in books that year, and especially Austen and Twilight (yes, I said it), helped me to regain a bit of trust and confidence in love again. So I‘m a believer in the healing magic of books 🙌🙌

Cinfhen Awww, sad days have brought u to brighter days 😘😘 #booksaremagical ✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨ 2y
ephemeralwaltz Twilight helped us all 💕💕💕😂😍😍😍🙏🙏 2y
Kalalalatja @Cinfhen well, I was 16 and everything felt kind of all-or-nothing at the time 😅 but I definitely felt like my rosy-lovey-dovey-outlook on life got a cold bucket of water poured over it. Luckily, the rosy outlook has mostly returned 💕👌 2y

Kalalalatja @ephemeralwaltz it certainly did! 😂😂 as a 16 year old, Twilight was LIFE! But it was probably a good thing I had Austen to balance things out a bit 👍😄 2y
saresmoore Listen, I hate the bad writing and the absurd premise of the Twilight books as much as the next reader, but those books got me through a pregnancy and one of the hardest years of my marriage (followed closely by a more mature supernatural romance, but still!). #TeamEdward I also read a lot of Jane that year. Hope is a powerful thing! 2y
AlaMich @saresmoore just askin‘ here, but what is a supernatural romance? Or did I misinterpret? 🤔 (edited) 2y
saresmoore @AlaMich It‘s a real subgenre! Like Amish romance but with dirtier sex and vampires and werewolves and such? 😃 I‘ve only read the Twilight series and the Sookie Sackhouse series by Charlaine Harris. They‘re pretty unremarkable as literature, but excellent as escapist stories for my wildly hormonal self. 2y
AlaMich @saresmoore Wow. I totally misread that sentence!! I interpreted it as, the hardest year of your marriage was followed by your marriage becoming more mature (fine!) and supernatural (huh?). Didn‘t realize you were talking about a book. 🙄 *wanders off to find caffeine* 2y
AlaMich @saresmoore And I have read some of the Sookie Stackhousr series and enjoyed them, and then I read Twilight. 😐 2y
saresmoore @AlaMich Bahaha! I definitely did not make that clear! I‘ve already maxed my daily caffeine quota, so I‘ll leave the original poorly articulated comment and let our subsequent thread serve as clarification. 😴😬 2y
Centique @saresmoore that was a great thread! 😂Twilight got me through a pregnancy too. It was exactly what I needed at the time and I‘ll always be fond of it I think. It has issues for sure but yeah, no shame about liking it 👍 😁@Kalalalatja @ephemeralwaltz 2y
eanderson Jane Austen can fix a lot! 2y
batsy ❤️❤️ The Twilight books got me through a really bad patch in a terrible job; I make fun of the books and myself 😂 but ... I hear you! 2y

So the first few (okay, dozen) times around, I was totally #TeamEdward, but somewhere in the last decade I've become 100% #TeamCharlie (well, not as a romantic partner for Bella, because puke, but as a totally kind and caring human being that doesn't need to shapeshift or sparkle in the sun in order to shine). Hey, Charlie, go ahead and arrest the town's Judgey McJudgersons!
#reread #bookclub

SandyW AsI watched the movies I commented to my husband that I knew I was getting old because the main romantic lead didn't appeal to me, but the father of the heroine did! 👵 2y
