Komi is socially awkward and comes across as reserved. Tadano is a wallflower. Tadano decides to help Komi make friends. Mostly comic feel about the awkwardness of growing up and trying to fit in.

Well this is the first #24in48 #not24in48 I haven't accomplished. However, after a very rough week my mind and body needed a reading weekend with my sisters. We were able to get a hotel room and lock ourselves away all weekend to read, eat, laugh, and talk. I could have reached 24 hours, but by 10:30 PM yesterday I was exhausted (the whole week catching up to me). I managed to finish six books (which was my goal). I almost finished my (cont.)

LitDrivenGirl second goal of 2 books per format. 2 paper ✅, 2 audiobooks ✅, 2 graphic novels ✅, & I didn't make it to 2 eBooks. I only separate it like that in my mind to help read more of what I have & typically I horde graphic novels as treats so that I don't devour & then am sad I have no more in a particular series. Otherwise all reading (formats) in my mind is reading! Hopefully summer #24in48 will be back in action & I'll be able to achieve it! 🧡 1d

Panpan

I decided to read this one because I'm a fan of the anime but oh boy, it ended up disappointing and very different from the anime. The pacing is too quick (only 5 volumes), the plot was chaotic, and the women are VERY sexualized. If there's anything good I have to say, it's that it made me wonder about Scherice's powers, which weren't really developed in the anime. Not a title I'd recommend but I'm glad I got it out of the way

I‘m so excited! I borrowed the 12 volumes of #theancientmagusbride . I heard it‘s an anime now. I‘m always late when it comes to these kind of news lol. Also borrowed #thegirlfromtheotherside vol 6.

Bought this for my teenage daughter for Christmas and she‘s insisting that I read it too. I‘ve learned a lot about manga from her!
I‘m enjoying it so far. I‘m thinking it‘s going to make me cry 😬

cherinium The title certainly grabbed my attention. Is wanting to eat another's pancreas meant to be complementary? 5d
ErickaS_Flyleafunfurled @cherinium I bought it for the title alone! At the beginning of the book the girl explains that in some ancient cultures you would eat an organ from an animal if you had a specific ailment - she reveals early on that she has a terminal illness (edited) 5d
sharona671 I love manga! When we stayed in Japan my friend would have to translate the books for me as I didn't understand Japanese. Lol. Such fun gems to read! 5d

ErickaS_Flyleafunfurled @sharona671 Want to visit Japan!! Think that may be our next big trip (pipe dream?) 5d
cherinium @ErickaS_Flyleafunfurled Ahhh! That makes sense. But is it a person whose pancreas she wishes to eat? LOL 🙊 5d
ErickaS_Flyleafunfurled @cherinium It makes sense - I promise 😂 4d

First book of the year finished! Young Miss Holmes is a manga series featuring Holmes‘ niece, Christie, who solves mysteries while her parents are away in India. Her cases often connect in some way to those of her Uncle and Dr Watson but she does very well on her own with the help of her devoted staff. This is Casebook 5-7 and runs 500 pages long. 🔍

I bought these Yen Press editions to replace my old ADV editions, mainly so I could have them without all the advertisements in the back. Am interested to look into the editorial & translation differences between the two versions.
