This one has Quinn and Sookie dating. She has to go to New Orleans to go through her cousin Hadley‘s things. She finds a dead or undead body in the closet. She meets up with a witch, Amelia (who I forgot about and love). She also has to work with the Queen of Louisiana.

All I want to do right now is read these books! 🤣

These books are trashy but addictive 🙈 found this one confusing until I discovered that Hadley‘s tale was told in a short story not one of the previous novels… thought I had blacked out on a massive chunk of plot!

Day 25: Animal on the cover

I‘ll give this a pick, as it‘s good for what the series is. I‘m discovering that I love these books less this time around, and I think all Sookie‘s suitors are toxic. I enjoyed Quinn at first, but his tantrum because he hadn‘t defended Sookie WHILE SHE‘S STRUGGLING BEHIND HIM IN A BAYOU WITHOUT HELP was the end of that.

I enjoyed this this one very much you get introduced to more characters and a whole lot more complicated vampire politics.

Quinn the tiger, I want one. 😍

Really like the new character Amelia cause it‘s hard not to love a charming witch. Another wonderful novel!

I decided to reorganize my shelves and I think... I think this might have been a mistake.

Just finished this one. Pretty good, but not my favorite so far.

Starting to replace my paperbacks with the US hardbacks 😍😍

I forgot how many amazing characters there are that they left out of the show (the last time I read this series was 2011 - I just saw a post on my 'On This Day' portion of FB). Like QUINN. 😍🐅And Amelia. And the Queen is way more interesting than they ever made her on the show. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5 stars.

Day five: something magical. Full disclosure I don't read many magic/fantasy books, but I do have a soft spot for vampires. I read most of these books over one summer, buying three at a time from the indie book store that's now closed. I also think they went WAY downhill after about book 9. Also I liked Sookie from the books way more than the show #riotgrams

I haven't read many #supernaturalmysteries, but I did find these on my shelves. I loved reading them a some years ago, but I never finished the series. Maybe some day?

Jane Austen's Mr. Knightley is very swoonworthy, and I'm in love with Fred Weasley (❤😢). In the Lunar Chronicles I looove Wolf and Thorne. Actually I love all the werewolves- Jacob Black and especially Alcide. Thank you True Blood for casting Joe M. as Alcide. ❤😍🤓

Some series will present the heroine with many options before tying her to one character. Of all of Sookie Stackhouse's love interests, Quinn was my favorite. Super tall, purple-eyed. Confident but not cocky. Protective and… let's face it… probably a tiger in the sheets. Get it?
Curious: who is your favorite #SookieStackhouse boyfriend? And is it different in the books vs. True Blood?

Another really fun, but pretty mindless read. This one was okay. This is the book where we meet Amelia, who is a pretty funny and entertaining, though dysfunctional, character.
