Was really stricken by the cover. I need to know what her deal is, she‘s seen some things. Of course with famous musician parents I expect some tea.

It‘s too hot to do anything, so I‘ve parked myself in front of my glorious electric AC and I‘m finishing this. It‘s really good.
After the storm. Happy Thursday.
So this looks interesting. Not in my wheelhouse so I‘m keeping my fingers crossed. 🤞🤞
Just browsing libby while waiting for dinner to cook and put this delightful looking book on hold.
Same author, but this book isn‘t in the system here. More importantly, I‘m outside, it‘s windy…. And ☀️☀️☀️🖤🖤🖤 four days to read this one. No sweat??????
I get a lot of reading done during the playoffs. I‘m counting on it this year because I‘m two books behind on my challenge. I like to watch games with the volume low so I don‘t get too distracted.
Went with my book bestie to our favourite local store for Indie book store day yesterday. Was a beautiful day and I was very overdue for a book date. Also going out in public. I also purchased the tagged book, looks interesting!!
🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️eh it‘s ok so far. Once again I‘m reading half a book in two days. 🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️
Slowly savoring, keeping this on my bedside table. I‘m clearly running out of time with this book. Still totally relevant. My first reading of hers.
I just started this one and it‘s 17 degrees out friends!!! Or Fake spring as I call it. I‘m gonna enjoy anyways.
Just started this last night, want to read more about social movements and popular uprisings.
Not me almost literally finishing this at the last possible minute. Couldn‘t be me. I‘ve never cut it this close before 🤣🤣🤣
Happy long weekend!! Stay toasty.
Chilling at my parents this weekend in the good light with one of the only white men I still willingly read 🤣🤣 Been very busy at work and my reading has gone by the wayside, hoping this one pulls me up.
First bath of 2022. Can‘t help myself. Almost half way done happy hour by Marlowe Granados and had to start another one ??? 🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️
Attempting this for the second time and oh dear I‘ve still got two books to finish my reading challenge.
I‘ve got this one on deck right now, especially looking forward to reading about environmental activism.
Look at this fabulous cover!! So I saw this on Twitter recommended by none other than Saeed Jones, and I immediately went to libby and here we are. I‘m not very familiar with Japanese folklore, but it doesn‘t matter these essays are wonderful.
In a bit of a pickle as I haven‘t been able to find anything that piques my interest, sent a few books back to the library. Giving this one a go. Also feeling the pressure cause I‘ve got five books left in my challenge this year 😬
Hello I‘ve been MIA for a bit but happy to be back! I did some cleaning this morning and now I‘ve got my guac and the hockey game on. I‘m ready to put a real dent in this. Happy Saturday friends!!
Cross stitched this myself! Started it at the beginning of the pandemic in March 2020 and I finished it this summer. Sits on top of my bookshelf where it should be. ✨✨FREE✨✨ pattern care of Nightspirit Studio in case you‘re interested!!!
Reading this and Binge at the same time, not sure if I‘m digging this one or if it‘s what I expected. I actually don‘t care that much about food??? I‘m more into the stories around food if that makes sense.
Outside after work and soaking up the summer ???? God why is it so hot today??? Also didn‘t know this book existed until a few days ago, funny so far.
She‘s here!! She‘s here!!! I managed to get a skip the line hold from my local library. Otherwise I‘ve got this on hold at three partner libraries and the waits range from 10-12 weeks!!
It‘s a perfect September afternoon. The only thing I could think about was getting home to sit on the balcony and enjoy the breeze. This skip the line hold came in and I love a good challenge. The weekend is coming up and I should just read.
Hanging out with my favourite domesticated wolf today and finally getting into this book. Loved migrations so much and this one is very interesting so far!!
I‘m a little late posting, but my favourite meme from two weeks ago is more relevant now than ever. Spooky season is upon us, and I gotta go back into the classroom.
Been chilling at my parents house a bunch this summer, and I finally thought maybe I should look at the books I left behind when I moved. 🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️ these are mostly non fiction including university text books I was reluctant to get rid of because I paid so much for them…15 years ago. 🤷🏻♀️
It‘s somehow still 30 degrees at 7pm so I‘m floating, content, and trying to ignore the neighbour children screaming. Enjoying this so far.
Almost done this book and wow! Lots of research leads to a very interesting overview of loneliness. Kind of horrified with the chapter about the monkey research, but overall really enjoyed this.
Uhhhhh I just found out about the hoopla app?? THROUGH THE LIBRARY??? 🖤💚🖤💚I was searching for sandman comics and found this delight instead. Just wish I had a newer iPad to view it on. Do I like comics now?
Finished this one the other night and it was one of the most informative and easy to understand books I‘ve ever read! She‘s such a great writer and explains so clearly the problem with white feminism. Excellent, must read, five stars. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
In love with this book right now !!!
Adventures in being fully vaxxed: enjoying my first haircut since March. Also this book is chef‘s kiss. Some of the language is devastating ????? Like just beautiful. It was one of those books from the library I kept pushing the deliver later button and I thought it‘s time to make room on my holds list for some new titles.
I have at last returned and spent 14 Canadian dollars on five books including the delightful one I have tagged. Fully vaxxed and ready to party.
This book is so good!! Why am I the first to post about it?? A man is called back to a place that doesn‘t exist anymore in northern Manitoba to try to find where he belongs.
It rained all day and I read all afternoon. 🖤🖤 Then the sun finally came out and I had to document it. This book is quite something.
LETS FINISH THIS!! Wow I very rarely ever finish a skip the line hold in the seven allotted days. The weather is nice and it‘s somehow only Saturday??!!!
I‘ve seen this book pop up a number of times this week, and I happened to search it at the library. Managed to get a skip the line hold for seven days. Otherwise it‘s a 14 week wait. Honestly. There are 24 copies and 10 people are waiting on each copy. I love that my local library has partnered with two others in the area.
Last day of school and THIS shows up from the library. A GOOD OMEN for the summer break. When the rain stops you‘ll catch me by the pool with my book.
I have not read a single page in weeks and thank goodness there was no one waiting for this book from the library. I renewed it for another three weeks and we‘ll see what the future holds. I‘m optimistic.
It was so friggin cold out yesterday. Read a bunch under blankets and now I‘m hoping to finish this book today. Also it‘s really good. Love all the descriptions of food and taste even though I exclusively eat the same bland food all the time.
Having a chill Sunday evening. I‘ve had this book on hold since July 2020 when it came out, and finally the right time has come. I‘ve put this off for too long! Also wow that deliver later button is a life saver !!
My aunt insisted I read this book and I‘ve got about 50 pages left so let‘s do this. Loving all the descriptions and as of right now I just really like Tate.
Happy weekend!! It‘s sunny but cold so I‘m gonna drink my tea and chill. Apparently it‘s May.
Told myself I was gonna go for a walk (It‘s like 15 degrees here and sunny🎉🎉) cause it SNOWED YESTERDAY, but instead I went for a drive got some onion rings and root beer and now we‘re here. Happy Friday friends.
Seems right up my alley. Liking it so far.
Had this one on my list for ages and kept hitting deliver later, deliver later. So I thought it‘s now or never. Have you put books back on your list so many times you wonder why it was on your list to begin with? Why did I want to read it in the first place?
