Single dad Archer moves to a small town to look after his daughter that he never knew about. He needs help with childcare and has to turn to the town for help. Enter Iris, a favourite with the town people. Together they get used to their new roles and help each other out, do they have more in common than they first thought?
A fun, cute read with some great characters. Cannot wait to read the next book!

The 4th book in the Dream Harbor series and this was another winner.

Archer has just been told that he has a daughter and has temporarily moved to Dream Harbor to take care of her since the mother has died. He decides to hire a nanny

I love all the villagers and this time they all put their energy into changes to the diner menu.

I love the Dream Harbor series so much but I think this one is my favorite so far! I loved everything about it and I too am a sucker for a single-father trope! I hope that we get to experience a lot more of Dream Harbor in the future!

Read4life I love this series, too!! This story was just wonderful. The Gingerbread Bakery is coming out in September. 🤓 2mo

5✨ I could not put this down! I‘m glad that Asher dropped everything to know his daughter. It might not have been in the plans for him, but after getting to know each other he wouldn‘t have had it any other way. Iris was in a bad spot and helping the new father as a nanny helped her too. I loved how not only the relationship between father and daughter developed, but the love story as well. #SeriesLove

When your nephew needs help with a spare for their tire 45 minutes out of town. You throw on your next interesting read. 😬🥰

Roary47 @Ruthiella It helps I‘m married to the mechanic. 😅 His spare was flat and he needed a better air compressor. We brought two extra spares just in case though. 4mo

I just have to listen to the Cinnamon Bun book and I will have devoured this series. This one is pretty spicy 🌶️ and sweet. Also enjoyed a new cozy historical mystery series set in a cute English village during WWII . Audiobooks seem so much easier as life gets so busy when the weather is nice.

Centique The spring photos look so pretty! And the flowers match the book cover too! 5mo

I never thought I‘d combine cute and steamy in a book description, but that exactly sums this up. It‘s a somewhat predictable plot, but with really engaging characters, and a sweet little girl who adds an interesting twist to this romance. I‘d not read the previous books in the series, but that didn‘t seem to matter. I‘m looking forward to reading those earlier installments. No strawberry pictures, but since one of the MCs is a chef, a food pic.

This series continues to be fluffy and fun, sweet as a hot chocolate on a cold day. The power dynamic of a boss/employee romance is tricky to navigate, but I think Gilmore does a fair job of it. Archer and Iris both grow a lot over the length of the story, and watching them become a family with the lost Olive is very charming. A light read, but an enjoyable one.

My next read. I gather this is part of a series, but it sounds like fun. Hoping that I haven‘t read the previous books isn‘t a detriment.

I loved this one. Iris is a bit of a twit, but she actually kind of knew she was being a twit through the whole story so it made it easier to like her. And Olive. What a kid. #18-2025

This is by far my favorite book of the series!! A hot chef who is a single father and the beloved Iris? What more could anyone ask for?

It probably doesn‘t hurt that this one has the most smut in it 😉

bibliothecarivs I'm curious about the book on the table. I'm guessing (without searching the Web) it's Christina Rossetti's poetry published by Oxford World Classics? 6mo
StaceGhost @bibliothecarivs yes! Wow! Good eye haha it‘s poetry and prose— she‘s amazing. I‘ve been interspersing my comps reading with super cozy books 6mo

You've got some of the best tropes: single dad, forced proximity, slow burn, grumpy/sunshine, and found family. I enjoyed Iris and Archer's love story, especially when you add Olive. Sometimes, including a child in a romance can be a little cumbersome, but Laurie Gilmore did a great job with Olive. The characters we love from the previous books all make guest appearances, but I liked that the main characters of this book were new to the reader.

MemoirsForMe I‘m so hungry for pancakes right now! 😁 7mo
