#fridayhappyreadinghour Happy Friday Reading Hour to all who celebrate and 🎶Ok Blue Jays , Let‘s play ball 🎶 starting a new book and getting read for the game

I had quite a bit of trepidation going into this one on account of it being a second book and how so often they feel less polished and less practised than any other book in a series but Lana seems unable to disappoint as I loved this just as much as payback, a thing I truly didn‘t think was possible and did absolutely lead to me just outright buying the whole series on kobo.

Another reread! This one…wasn‘t as good as the first. For one, Issa at one point compared being an Avramov in Thistle Grove to being a Black man in the US South and…no??? Not at all the same. For two, I just think the resolution to the problem is a little lackluster.

High literature these are not and yet I am living this series. This time we have an enemy to lovers story set against a family feud of sorts. I really do like the world this author has created and how there is a depth to the writing even when a little fluffy. In this I like the exploration of family and what it means to belong

My October TBR stack. From Bad to Cursed and Back in a Spell are part of the Witches of Thistle Grove series which I rated the first one, Payback‘s a Witch, 2 stars on Goodreads . I‘m not sure what possessed me to get the next 2 🤦🏻♀️

I suppose the Thistle Grove series is really just 4 old, extended families not 1 big one, but somehow the whole town ends up feeling like one big messy family.

The second book in Harper's Witches of Thistle Grove series did not disappoint. There are four main families of witches that feature in this series: Harlows, Blackmores, Thorns, and Avramovs. This second book features different main characters in these families than the first book. I can't wait to explore the world of Thisyle Grove in book three.

Loved this book! I might have liked it more than the 1st one but it‘s been a bit since I read the first. This one follows Isi and Rowan (from 1st book) who are enemies but need to work together to figure out who is attacking his family. It‘s a romance so there are some sexy scenes as well.

This series is so cute. This one was a little 🌶️ than I remember the first being, just a few key scenes, but I was listening while finishing & photoing these 🦇 & doing some cleaning & Im sweeping the floor & all of a sudden there‘s some 🍆 & I usually save that for the kindle 😅
But anyway, it was fun, festive, predictable but sweet.
Totally bingeable, I just started it yesterday.

Mood read—I wanted a light, witchy book. The sequel to Payback‘s a Witch, this one focuses on Isidora Avramov & Rowan Thorn. Bad things happen around Beltane, & they‘re assigned to investigate. Enemies-to-lovers, although the enemies part doesn‘t last long. Interesting plot. Good romance.

I had this one barely started at the end of #Scarathlon2022 & so I finally finished it up. 2nd in the Witches of Thistle Grove series, I enjoyed it as much as the first. Issa & Rowan were a good couple & though predictable, it was a fun & charming paranormal romance. I‘ll look out for book 3.

Really enjoyed the second installment of this series. There was a bit more lore which was great and the romance was well done and well paced

I loved this just as much as the first! The perfect amount of magic and intrigue, the perfect amount of romance. Can‘t wait till book 3 is out. #Scarathlon2022 #TeamMonsterMash @StayCurious #BookspinBingo @TheAromaofBooks #Spookoween2022 @TheSpineView #31by31 @Catsandbooks #PointsAThon @dieareader @GHABI4ROSES #witchathon @mdm139

The thing no one tells you about summoning demons is, sometimes you have to think outside the box. #FirstLineFridays @ShyBookOwl

Is it possible to give this book 75 stars due to how warm and cozy I feel after finishing it? I got surly every time my job interrupted my reading this fuzzy blanket of a book. Actual surly pouts occurred.
