Thoroughly enjoyed reading this series for #LittensLoveACOTAR & now I have a book hangover of sorts, or should I say series hangover. I‘ve always had a soft spot for Nesta & I enjoyed this just as much as the others that are centered on Feyre. Dunno what to do with myself til the next book comes out. 😪 Would highly recommend this series! 5⭐️

But what will be the consequences for Nesta? And has anyone ever thought what will happen if Nesta gets pregnant with Cassian‘s baby? Will she suffer the same fate as Feyre? No. Thank goodness she thought ahead and the mother gifted her with a bit of her own power. ⬇️

That‘s the worst thing that could have happened! And it will break her to have to kill her mate - even if she‘s defending herself. But of course Briallyn knows that, that‘s why she picked Cassian. Will Dawn arrive in time to give Nesta back her power? ⬇️

#LittensLoveACOTAR #ACOTAR #ACOSF Book 5: Ch.70-72: Nesta has to hold the line until dawn - with only one horrible opponent left - one who is controlled by Briallyn. At least Gwyn and Emerie made it. She helped them make it. Hopefully not at the cost of her life. Perhaps acknowledging the mating bond at last will give her a final bit of strength to get through it.

I really enjoyed this whole series! Read with the #LittensLoveRomance group, so I can‘t say too much, but this is an awesome installment…can‘t wait for the next one!

#LittensLoveACOTAR #ACOTAR #ACOSF Book 5: Ch. 67-69: gosh things are getting tense, both for Nesta and the girls and Cassian and Az. At least Nesta only has to last until dawn. But Cassian and Az are now facing Koshei - how will they get away? It‘s sad that Nesta had to give up her title of winner - but shows such a growth in her character.

And that, my friends, is the end!
I loved and hated Nesta. I wanted to throttle her so many times, but I enjoyed her character growth. And the ending, *tear*. I am really happy with how it ended.

Those males were hoping the girls would just die. Were expecting it. But not all the Illyrian warriors are mindless killers. I‘d like to learn more about Balthazar. And now Nesta and Emerie have to find Gwyn and hope she‘s ok.

Stupid enough that Nesta uses her bargain to make him go away. She flees to Emerie and Gwyn and the three are stolen in the night - forced into the blood rite. 😳⬇️

At least she has training to occupy her. She and the girls are killing it. Do you think they should do the blood rite just to prove everyone wrong? It would be the final test so to speak. ⬇️

Of course my inquisitive 3 yr old says right away “oh shit! What happened Mama?” 😝🤦‍♀️ So now we see a bit of what Nesta‘s sword and dagger can do - kill the unkillable. Pretty crazy. Maybe she can destroy Briallyn then. That was so creepy when they saw each other with the harp. ⬇️

She can start healing if she lets things out and stops bottling it all in. Her confessions made me sad - I love that SJM has taken us on her journey. Now she just has to apologize to her sisters and admit her feelings for Cassian. Easier said than done.

He grabs Nesta and gets the hell out of dodge. It sucks that he has to be in the middle. He loves his friends. He also loves Nesta(yes he does). Is she the Yoko of their group? I feel for Nesta - she‘s so angry and has a lot of self loathing. Can Cassian help her help herself out of that hole?

For them to discuss her and vote on things that so greatly affect her, it‘s insulting. Especially by Amren. Amren has been bitchier I find since she lost her powers. You‘d think getting some on the regular would improve her mood. Apparently not. ⬇️

I find it interesting that Amren was trying to convince Rhys to take his place as High King with these magic weapons. Doesn‘t that go against Rhys‘ character - to take ultimate power? Or would it really be for the good of Prythian? Or was Amren - in her way - testing him? ⬇️

I felt so bad for him when he left afterwards. “Just sex” indeed. Good for Nesta finding her confidence more using a sword. She‘s getting there. The training was a good idea for her and all the girls.

#LittensLoveACOTAR #ACOTAR #ACOSF Book 5: Ch.34-36: whew, these chapters were intense! And we finally see Nesta become Lady Death. I wonder if Rhys will let her keep that mask. An army of the dead may come in handy. Is Cassian ready for more of Nesta‘s dark power? Will he help her through it? Of course he will! That boy is over the moon. He was ready to jump in that bog after her. Wish we could all get us some Cassian.

I love Nesta‘s story & her character arc is so strong. I cannot wait to see what happens next with these characters - and I look forward to being back with them again on the next reread.

Do we think that those autumn soldiers are under a spell or have they defected from Eris‘ command? Does Beron know that his son has betrayed him? And what‘s taking Cassian so long to dispatch of those soldiers and get back to Nesta? This bog is creeping me out!

Secondly, we get to see a glimpse of Nesta‘s power - and it has Rhys scared shitless - that tells you something. I loved how protective and worried Cassian was - the boy has it bad which is just what Nesta needs. ⬇️

It‘s a shame she can‘t act better with her sisters but maybe there‘s too much history and trauma to unpack. Been there, Nesta, been there. She‘s slowly becoming Nesta with Cassian. Physical closeness will bring them closer mentally as well I think. ⬇️

Poor Az, he‘s not the greatest chaperone haha. I‘m sure he doesn‘t want to be pulled into their complicated mess. I‘m glad Nesta finally got someone to agree to come to training. It‘s nice that she‘s focused on this task - a win might help her move on to the next.

Feyre won‘t be able to help in the war effort which will stress her out. And Nesta - sigh - she‘s the most prickly cactus. Thank goodness we can see her thoughts or we‘d still hate her. At least we know she feels bad when she says something terrible. I wish Cassian knew she cares for him and wants him. ⬇️

I love that Cassian won‘t let her back down from him and what‘s bothering her. He won‘t give up - I think that‘s what she needs. But it might put him in a bad position of fighting with Rhys, who is definitely not a Nesta fan. ⬇️

Hopefully not something stupid like getting her wine. ⬇️

But I‘ll need to fly in - I probably couldn‘t do much more than 100 steps either. So Nesta is having decent human conversations - she meets two Fae females, Gwyn and Emerie. I think these characters will be important to her story. ⬇️

To humiliate him in front of the Illyrians was low. Even for her. I wonder what will finally make her decide to train and stop putting up walls to keep people (mainly Cassian) out.

Another epic tale that was full of action, drama, and smut. Too smutty for me, I skipped through those scenes after the first one. This was the story Nesta needed and deserved. I loved the Valkyries and their bond. Book #34 in 2025

As the prior books in the series ranged from all to mostly Feyre‘s point of view, this one almost reads like fan fiction with its laser focus on Nesta.

The fact that so much of the storyline then follows Nesta‘s forging of a tight-knit sisterhood by means of fae CrossFit and yoga, only adds to that impression.

Still ended up being my favorite of the series so far.

(Though I continue to cringe at the word mate. Every. Single. Time.)

Current read - trying to chug along through this series but after a busy weekend I‘ve felt like I‘m entering a true reading rut. The worst feeling!!

A very delayed March. And I still have not finished ACOTAR! Hoping by the end of March but the kindle with every book ever written handed to me on a silver platter has been so hard to read in order!

My favourite of the entire series. I loved Nesta's redemption and really enjoyed reading about the friendships she made along the way.
