A couple of issuesā€¦one, this was way too long. Second, I had a difficult time connecting with Quinn and Costa. I‘m not necessarily loving this crime-solving duo the way I am with Regan Merritt from another series by this author. But we‘ll see if the next book steps it up a notch. Also, I really wish there was a second narrator for the male POV.

I‘ve only read one other book by Allison Brennan and really enjoyed it. I enjoyed this one also! It is the first in a new series featuring Kara Quinn and Matt Costa. I have to read the second one ASAP! I look forward to future books in this series because I loved it. šššš!

I really wanted to like this book, but it just didn‘t do it for me. It had so much potential in terms of storylines, but I am personally not a fan of forced relationships between two characters that don‘t forward the plot in any way, and that‘s exactly what it felt like with Kara & Matt. Additionally, the writing had cringe moments, especially during Glen‘s point of view when exclamation points were used way more than necessary. I don‘t recommend

5 strong stars. Oh the ending what a cliffhanger. It's one you read the words five times saying, what, what, what, WHAT! š¤£ Be prepared not to put this suspense FBI serial killer down. The beginning grabs you by the collar and screams read now. #20in4 @Andrew65

Had a good day relaxing and finally finished this one and am already 100 pages into my next one! Haven't had that in awhile. This book starts off a new series by this author. It revolves around a newly formed, not completely staffed, Mobile Response Team of the FBI, sent on their first case of a serial killer. A really good story. I enjoyed the characters and the story kept me engaged.

In this story, the Mobile Response Team that was going to be a game changer for the FBI, was in the early stages of formation. Mathias wasn‘t a character that I was immediately enthralled with but I did like his moxie. Kara was a strong character & she had a keen mind for seeing what others overlooked. She & Mathias made a good team & there was an undeniable smoldering attraction between them but the romantic tension in no way hijacked the story

Reecaspieces @robinb Hi! I think all her series can be read as stand alone! The characters might be better developed if you read them in order, in any series. But I think it can be done as stand alone 4mo
