This book was an ode to Chicago. I think my love for the setting made me enjoy this more than I would've had it been set somewhere else. It was a slow burn kind of read and that is usually not my thing. If you are interested in a quick read, then I recommend it.
Reading this makes me miss the city. I haven't lived there in 3 years but it feels like I was just there yesterday....

That conversation is this book, a meandering tale that weaves through the streets, the neighborhoods, the friendships, the dangers & more of Chicago. Populated with eccentric, fabulous characters this a slow but nonetheless enjoyable read.
Ok, having now worked my way through my most recent stack of library previews, it‘s time to return to my TBR stack(s). Looks like I‘m going to spend some time back home in Chicago with my next book.
I spent all day yesterday in downtown Chicago and had a wonderful time. Managed to get in quite a few steps along the way. Part of this step count was my visit to the American Writer‘s Museum. I highly recommend this literary museum to all fellow bookworms. #stepcount #Chicago

Litsy help needed! Me and two friends are headed to Chicago this weekend. I always visit at least one indie when in a new city...but it seems like Chicago has many good bookstores! I've never been to the city! For those Midwestern Littens or other travelers, what is your favorite indie bookshop there?
