It‘s a stressful week with the kids starting school and everyone adjusting to a new, earlier schedule, so I‘m comfort reading. The No. 1 Ladies‘ Detective Agency series is very calming. I‘m up to book 7.

“As they left the shop, Mma Ramotswe made amends and told Mma Makutsi that she really thought the blue shoes very beautiful. There was no point in disapproving of a purchase once the deed had been done.”
Mma Makutsi‘s weakness was colorful unusual shoes - it was her trademark 👠

You can‘t get much cozier than Mma Ramotswe and crew. There‘s only one fatality, and it‘s a bird, not a human. I will admit, I did stress out when Mma Makutsi‘s engagement seemed to be threatened. I guess the real mystery is will Mr. J. L.B. Matekoni‘s apprentices ever amount to anything? 🤔😅
#CloakandDaggerChristmas for the prompt “read a cozy mystery “.
Here‘s my list for #CloakandDaggerChristmas. I doubt I will manage them all, but it‘s good to have ambitions. ?
1. The Widows of Malabar Hill by Sujata Massy
2. Killers of a Certain Age by Deanna Rayburn
3. An English Murder by Cyril Hare
4. The Singing Sands by Josephine Tey
5. The Rose Code by Kate Quinn
6. Blue Shoes and Happiness by Alexander McCall
7. The Man Who Went Up In Smoke by Maj Sjöwall
8. The Body under the Piano by Marthe Jocelyn
The cases seemed more complex in this one and there was character growth as well. Another stellar entry. 🥰
Another fabulous book in the No. 1 Ladies Detective Agency series. This one had a number of “cases” to solve, but it saw the growth of a couple of the characters as well. These are such comforting reads and Mma Ramotswe is such a calming, wise woman.
First finish for #20in4 and another #Seriesread2021
This also fills my #audiobook prompt for #Booked2021
Another satisfying installment in the No. 1 Ladies Detective Agency series. Mma Romatswe takes on a theft at a college, a shady Dr, a superstition haunting a small village, and a blackmailer. As always, she shares many cups of bush tea with her friends along the way.
I have my whole crew close by this morning, as we‘ve got some serious thunderstorms moving through. No one cares for all that noise!
Igor And I are doing a little reading before bed. 💙👠And 💙👁
Here's a few of my #azurecolouredbooks with my azure bird of happiness💙😉

I find the No. 1 Ladies Detective Agency series of books such fun, comforting stories. They're like wearing an old pair of slippers on a cold and blustery night. I know what I'm going to get, I love the characters, I love the setting and I'm going to feel warmed from the inside reading it.
It's beautiful here today. The perfect day for reading on the deck enjoying the sunshine and warm breeze. AMS is one of my go-to fun easy reads. This is one of the No 1 Ladies Detective Agency books, and I think I will have read them all after this. Enjoy your Saturday, hope it's just as nice where you are.
