I had retired from my 2-year temp job helping to run elections. Yippee, summer! 3 weeks later an employee called & asked if I would PLEASE return for the summer primary election & possibly through the November elections. Staff were leaving her to do it alone in the largest city in Vermont. I said yes. 😳 My reading will go downhill. 😩
This is a photo of kids picking cucumbers. In my teen years I laid on one of these for three summers, picking.
I just want to say thanks to everyone who has wished me well on my upcoming retirement. I am so ready and grateful that my husband and I can live on his one income for the next few years. 2020 and online learning broke me. After 25 years in the classroom I just couldn't do it anymore. I'm a wimp 😂
I'm about to have a little more reading time. I officially start retirement on September 18th.
The Legend has retired! Today my dad said “See ya!” to all that shiftwork after 36 years! I‘m proud of him and I‘m so glad he passed on his work ethic and love of family to me.
