Finished book #2 of the #readathon. I've been making my way through Sue Grafton's series and making good progress. I liked "M" more than this one. #deweysreadathon @DeweysReadathon

When you can‘t find one book in a series in a format compatible with the rest of the series. Long story short, I bought the tagged book a few years ago thinking the disparity wouldn‘t bother me. But it does! I gave it away and can‘t find it in a suitable format for a reasonable price anywhere. #sundayfunday

Was able to polish this on off yesterday. Today my heart is heavy. Our Bearded Dragon, Gizmo passed last night. 🥲🐉

For me, this was one of the more clever instalments from Grafton. There was some great tension created halfway through the book, which I haven't found to be typical from the Kinsey Millhone books so that was also a nice change of pace.

Of course I‘m using this for the #startswithN prompt! When I bought this, I didn‘t think it would bother me that it was in small hardback format while the rest of her hardbacks in my collection are standard format. It turns out that it bothered me! So I took it to a book swap and exchanged it for something else.

Long story short, I don‘t have the book anymore. Other than Z that will never happen 😢 I have all the rest. #gratefulharvest

This is one of the Sue Grafton novels that I DON'T remember reading before. It's great! Holds up so well with the rest.

Kinsey is hired by the widow of a detective to find out what was troubling him at the time of his sudden death. Tom Newquist was unsettled and restless prior to his heart attack; was it a case he was working on or was he being unfaithful? Kinsey‘s presence in Nota Lake is not welcome the longer she stays and keeps asking questions. #MountTBR

Kinsey goes to a little mountain town to try to solve a mystery, but she finds that the people who live there aren‘t just suspicious and unhelpful. They‘re mean and nasty to her, and she barely makes it out alive. These people irked me so much, I wanted to jump into the book and punch them all in the face!

I‘ve actually never read this one. What a great surprise. Wonder if there are any more I somehow failed to read. I feel like I have been given the most wonderful gift. it is a good one. The plot is very intricate and detailed. The characters are well written and fascinating. This is the best of the series I think.

#TBT last year at this time I was trying to figure out where I left off in this series. Turns out I re-read two of the books. But I love every minute of Kinsey's sleuthing!
