I love these characters and wish there were more books in the series. Only negative for this book is that it causes crisis fatigue; you can't go very many pages without an emergency.

I told my daughter I was going to choose Crooked Kingdom for this post and she said “Pekka Rollins?!?!?” I do not know what is wrong with that child. COLM FAHEY. He was a real dad. Flawed but able to see those flaws when pointed out to him and willing to do anything to help his son.

Even better than the first book. Complex, dark, twisty and achingly romantic, as the characters fight for their lives and their loves, battles they may not be able to win. Includes one of the most powerful scenes of hand-holding ever written.

Loved it. 11/10. No notes except for this: my reading of this duology was heavily informed by having already read the Shadow and Bone trilogy, and while I love the crows on their own merit I am also confident I would have enjoyed their adventures a lot less if I didn‘t already know the universe and recurring characters.
This scholar loves a series. She said Mrs. B, RUN not walk and get book 1. The passion in which she described this series has my heart swollen from the sheer joy of listening to her describe what the series is about and watching a few non-readers ask questions.
I had never read a book before where all of the characters were so engaging; I would read endless books about these people. I loved the romances between the characters too, so different but all pure & beautiful, each one so fitting to their personality. The character progression was awesome. Only downside is the loss of Matthias. I know it would've been unlikely for them all to survive, I loved his relationship with Nina & wanted it to continue.
The ending to Six of Crows, wow. Obsessed with these characters and this story. I won‘t lie, it took me awhile to get into it after finishing Six of Crows. While the story is slower, the character development, world building & overall story made it worth it. Can‘t wait to continue my journey in the Grishaverse with King of Scars next.
This was a good book, and it kept me on my toes the whole way. Book 2 of the series. #SeriesLove23 @Andrew65 @TheAromaofBooks The second book for #NovelNovemberReadathon @Andrew65 and another one for #RushAthon @DieAReader @GHABI4ROSES @Andrew65 plus 3 more Bi go spots for #NovemberISpyBingo @Clwojick @TheSpineView
“I would have come for you. And if I couldn't walk, I'd crawl to you, and no matter how broken we were, we'd fight our way out together-knives drawn, pistols blazing. Because that's what we do. We never stop fighting”

It was absolutely unexpected, and I loved it! I definitely cried when Matthias dies, but I was so happy with the ending between Kaz and Inej
Just as good as a reread!
I CRIED TEARS OF HEARTBREAK BUT ALSO JOY. I love these little criminals so much.
Just as great reading it the second time! Now I can finally read King of Scars.
This book was everything. I love books that challenge my perception on what makes a 5-star read. I was hooked from the first page to the last, and still wanted more stories from the Grishaverse afterwards. 🖤
(Currently reading King of Scars 🤭)
"No mourners, no funerals. Another way of saying good luck. But it was something more. A dark wink to the fact that there would be no expensive burials for people like them, no marble markers to remember their names, no wreaths of myrtle and rose."
Rewarded myself with a book after I finished reading another book. ?
There are not enough stars or words for how much I loved Six of Crows and Crooked Kingdom ❤️❤️❤️❤️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ This book made me feel everything under the sun and delivered a satisfying ending.
Loving all the fanart and this scene Kaz now lives rent free in my head 😱
I need a moment because I just finished reading this scene and my heart ❤️🔥💔❤️🔥💔❤️🩹 Kaz and Inej😭😭 I‘m terrified to finish this book because I need a happy ending!
It took me a bit longer to finish, but I was not disappointed. I wish there had been a little more romance between some of the characters, but it was a great read. The plot and the heists were so well planned that it left me speechless. I loved just as much as it‘s prequel. I can‘t wait to read more by Leigh Bardugo.
You're not weak because you can't read. You're weak because you're afraid of people seeing your weakness. You're letting shame decide who you are.

Two tops favorite "C" books are:
Crooked Kingdom by Leigh Bardugo
The Calculating Stars by Mary Robinette Kowal
I loved both and I couldn't decide between the two.
Perfect. Loved it. Mischief, fisticuffs and mayhem. Everything my readers heart desires.
What a ride - I loved this one the whole way through but the ending disappointed me. I‘m conflicted because some of the threads were tied up beautifully while others felt abrupt. It also really feels like there‘s more to explore with these characters and the storyline; I hope the rumors of a third book are true!
Reading with kittens. 😻 We‘ve named this one Kuromi for the 4 days she is in our house, since our tuxedo is #HelloKitty (who absolutely hates the intrusion into her home 😂)

💎 wish I could read more, but I also have some cute little distractions in the house over the next couple days which will make an appearance in my next post!
💎 physical book

💎 Some books, yes! I love to annotate.

I don't know why I bother with the grishaverse. I keep thinking okay this is gonna be the book that I can join the hype. When will I give up on it? 😢
I've been slightly behind with posting, I finished this over a week ago. This book was a fun ride and I deeply miss all the characters! 4.5⭐️
A great sequel to Six of Crows. I love the gang and was happy to be back with them for another heist. Most characters got a good ending, but there are enough dangling threads that I could see there being a third book!
Crows remember human faces. They remember the people who feed them, who are kind to them. And the people who wrong them too. They don‘t forget. They tell each other who to look after and who to watch out for.
So I finished the second book a few days ago. I still prefer the first book because I enjoyed learning about their past. I did like that in this book Kaz did open up a bit more than the first book. I just wanted more. I didn't want to end.
What were your thoughts on the ending? Also, do you think Van Eck and Pekka Rollins got what they deserved?
⭐⭐⭐⭐/5

Since I re-read the first book in the duology, it seemed only right that I re-read the second book as well. Reading it for the second time didn‘t make the book any less amazing, awe inspiring or painful for that matter. I enjoyed re-living the adventures with the characters and loved the ending (even if I cried…) ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
