I wheel of one of our pesky shelves/carts fell off and we did our best to fix it. The sentence created by the random books (from the donation bin) slightly amuses me. Of all the book combinations that could've come out of the bin this is what we ended up with. 🤔🤦‍♀️😜

I have lots of accidents.

Where The Marigolds Grow is a sweet story of a clean romance between Bree Daniels and Garret Walker. It is a quick read. If you are a fan of clean romances, you will love this book. Also, I loved that Bree and Garret followed their hearts and listened to what God was telling them. The secondary characters were equally as sweet. This should be a Hallmark movie and looking forward to reading more books in this series.

This was such a sweet and charming read!! Josh is Brie‘s best friend‘s brother & NFL player...and someone she enjoys bantering with often. When Josh needs an image change, his agent suggests fake dating Brie. This turns into a charming story of not quiet enemies to lovers. The interactions are great. There are so many moments that your heart just melts with them & for them as they fall in love. The ending is perfect.

This is my new baby Vixen. She likes to lay on the couch and be close. I guess I will see if she likes it when I read and don‘t give her 100% of my attention.

First book shopping of 2024! I can‘t believe I held out for 4 months. 🥰😃

* Visited my junior high friend in Massachusetts. So fun.
* We went to the Smith College Botanical Garden on a brilliantly blue sky day.
* The Gardens featured plaques throughout about Sylvia Plath and her time at Smith.
* Saw a cactus with white hair that looked like a mythical creature (see photo above).
* Visited a terrific bookstore & bought several books (of course).
* foliage was all budding and greening. Not like Vermont.

I scored 48%, a bit lower than I expected but not too shabby either. Out of the movies on the list that I haven't seen that are at the top of my list are the ones by Miyazaki. Thanks for putting this together @dabbe #tlt

I treated myself to some new wax melts. I ordered them through a friend. The box smelt gorgeous when I opened it up. Can‘t wait to chill up later and read with my wax melts burning. Scents are black cherry, juicy orange and daffodil with vanilla.

1. I gave away over 10 puzzles to neighbors, took over 50 to the puzzle swap, & came home with only 3.
2. I can see the sun now when I walk to the metro at 6:15am.
3. I‘m off today & leave tomorrow for a mini vacay!
4. I‘m finally feeling more like myself again.
5. When planning a 45-years of federal service party, our SES popped in & said he wanted a pony. We got him a pink My Little Pony. He thought it was hilarious. #greatboss

My five:

1. My youngest son moved home from SF and got a job paying 6 figures!
2. The weather here has been wonderful and everything is green.
3. A week break from school so I am able to relax a bit.
4. Starting to run in the mornings again.
5. Savoring sunrises in the morning with coffee before work.

1. Brain scan results have come back - no change, and it's stable.
2. Following on from #1, I don't have to have another scan for another 2 years.
3. Jaffa has sat on my lap several times (he's only just becoming a lap cat!)
4. I've had an email from the diabetes team saying that I can finally get a sensor fitted to track my blood sugars better.
5. I've finally managed to get some #litsylove out!

1. Finally finished The Three Body Problem and can get back to reading all the books I had frozen at my library.
2. Started a new 3000 piece jigsaw puzzle.

5. Getting together tonite with a couple I‘ve been friends with for over 40 years.

Look, the only way I can explain this is that my parents were divorced and my dad loved movies, so that‘s what we did on weekends. The man bought a BETAMAX for goodness sakes!
This also explains why I watch so few movies now. I‘ve seen 2 this year. 😂

Our May theme is mysteries and I just got them both from the library. I am trying to be better about how much I‘m spending on books this year since I‘m saving up for travel.
