Book 97/100 of the year.
Book 97/100 of the year.
As someone who loves Disney princesses and happily ever after, I couldn‘t wait to read this story. We find Erralee, a spunky princess and Reeves, a cowboy farmer who is ex military in this story. Weston, who is Erralee‘s guard and best friend is also part of this story.
Erralee finds herself being married off to King Aswell, who is much older because her father‘s kingdom is at war.
I loved how this story came together.
Book 96/100 of the year.
The main character, Kenetria, has dissociative identity disorder (DID), and has multiple ‘alters‘ or ‘headmates‘ who take turns ‘fronting‘ or driving her body, actions, and decisions. With a storm approaching, Ken is shocked to see two men from her past included as board members of the estate, and when one of them is murdered, she becomes the lead suspect.
With a creepy and immersive setting and a brilliant cast of alter ego characters. Book 95.
Book 94/100 of the year.
This book comes in two versions: sweet and spicy. Tiffany Hart is a radiology doctor who grew up in Las Vegas. Ethan Clark comes from a long line of doctors but wants to make his own name. The relationship between Tiffany and Ethan is full of tension and romance, keeping readers interested until the end.
I wasn‘t expecting some of the twists in this story but they were so good!
Book 92/100 of the year.
Spent my day off cleaning my patio for the summer months. The amount of yellow pollen was ridiculous.
Hanging flowering baskets hung after massive cleaning along with my Mickey Mouse outdoor rug and furniture. I will pull out my folding hammock as needed.
This is one of my favorite summer reading spots.
Now this was an incredible story. I was hooked from the start. It‘s the story of Penelope and Christian. There are no words to the cruelty of Penelope ‘s family . When Penelope meets Christian it‘s love at first sight for both. A retelling of the ugly duckling. Just read the trigger warnings in the beginning as this book may not be for everyone.
Book 91/100 of the year.
Today, I received this arc of “That Librarian” by Amanda Jones.
This is part memoir, part manifesto of Amanda‘s story advocating for inclusivity on the front lines in our schools & libraries today.
Here alone in North Carolina, there were at least 18 attempts to restrict access to books in North Carolina. These attempts included challenges to about 114 books in total last year.
Where The Marigolds Grow is a sweet story of a clean romance between Bree Daniels and Garret Walker. It is a quick read. If you are a fan of clean romances, you will love this book. Also, I loved that Bree and Garret followed their hearts and listened to what God was telling them. The secondary characters were equally as sweet. This should be a Hallmark movie and looking forward to reading more books in this series.
Book 88/100 of the year.
This was such a sweet and charming read!! Josh is Brie‘s best friend‘s brother & NFL player...and someone she enjoys bantering with often. When Josh needs an image change, his agent suggests fake dating Brie. This turns into a charming story of not quiet enemies to lovers. The interactions are great. There are so many moments that your heart just melts with them & for them as they fall in love. The ending is perfect.

I loved this book. This was my first read into the Bailey brother series and oh how I loved the Bailey family! We all need a family like this one.
Miles Bailey meets Delaney Jonas aka Lane Jonas who is a famous rock star and on a bachelorette type tv series. She is trying to clean up her image which backfires. Miles is an artist who is trying to get a start in his hometown while opening up an art studio.
Book 84/100 of the page.

Book 77/100 of the year.
Book 74/100.
Set in Voss, Norway the descriptions are beautiful. Maureen comes home from New York City as her father is dying to take over the family farm. Alex, a billionaire is escaping New York City from a girlfriend who is stalking him & the crazy media frenzy created by this to his family estate in Voss. The story between Maureen and Alex is funny & sweet. I loved the several twists in the story which were very believable.

Crissy Dowling channels Princess Diana in her one-woman cabaret.
Her younger sister, Betsy, also has the Diana look, but she is a social worker in their home state of Vermont. There‘s no wasted space in this novel, which clips on powered by the compelling sisters, their strange situation, & Marisa, the adopted thirteen year old . The denoument is surprising and makes perfect sense, and the road there is satisfyingly twisty.
Book 71/100.
Another win for Jenn McKinlay! Love at First Book is a delightful romance. I loved Kier & Em. It explores authors, writing, and books set in a small Irish town with characters that will pull at your heart strings! I found myself loving these characters, laughing and crying tears with them. This story is so tender hearted, a perfect curl up in a favorite chair with a cozy blanket & a favorite drink.

WOW! I am so excited to be invited back to be part of the @macmillan.audio influencers team. This is my second year to be part of this amazing team.
I have listened to many wonderful books through this program. As you all know, I always have three books going at the same time and one is always an audiobook.
This sweet story between Graham and Elinora starts when they were 16 and goes into their 30s. Both Graham and Elinora have a spark that never ends even though they both had to overcome obstacles, family and career choices.
I loved their banter and at times the disappointments and anger however I felt this added to the realism of their story.
This is a sweet love story and I loved how it ended.
