Merethebookgal I've read The Crown's Game and An Ember in the Ashes and enjoyed both and I'm currently reading A Torch Against the Night. "Ember" and "Torch" have a little more violence than "Crown," but they're all good ? 8y

Hello Hello!!

I've been meaning to do this for a bit...but alas, life and such. I would love to start a Young(ish) Adult Book Club here on Litsy. I haven't come across any clubs yet that are solely for reading YA, and I know a lot of us do. Plus, this will be nice b/c YA books don't take long to read!! So you can still partake in other clubs :)

Open to anyone, young or young(ish). Leave a comment if interested! And recommend a book, too!

Onceuponatime I love reading YA and middle grade! Will it be focused mostly on high school level, or would you have some MG choices too (like Kate DiCamillo, Katherine Applegate & others)? 8y
youngish-adult @Onceuponatime I think we should do MG too :) There's a series I have been wanting to read...The Enchanted Forest Chronicles. Have you read them? 8y
samthebookdragon I mainly read YA, so I would love a group to read YA with!!! 8y
See All 15 Comments
wanderlustywriter I would be in! I read a ton of YA (though not much MG) 8y
Daisey I teach jr. high and read a lot of mg/ya, so I would be interested. However, I'm also not so good at book clubs since if a book is not already on my TBR and/or I don't have free and easy access, I usually will just skip it rather than buying. 8y
BookNerdBritt Definitely interested! I'm all about YA and have been wanting to read more MG. 8y
LiteraryinLawrence I teach middle school English and love to read YA books interspersed with the rest of my reading. :) Some of my recent (to me) favorites are anything by Rebecca Stead and Out of My Mind (by Draper). 8y
Sue I tend to read a lot of YA :) 8y
kgriffith Interested :) I'm going back to school in -- EEP -- 3.5 weeks! and will want to sneak in a little fun reading here and there, so this might be perfect 😊 8y
Peddler410 Totally interested! 8y
Peddler410 I'm a middle school librarian and YA makes up a ton of my reading. 8y
AStoriedSoul Totally interested in this! I read a lot of YA and haven't seen a book club for it either. Yay! 8y
AStoriedSoul For a book rec: I'm on And I Darken and I think it would make a great pick. 8y
Dasquirt8 Totally interested. They are usually quick fun reads! 8y
aecawthon I would love to join! I teach Jr High English, so I'm always reading YA lit so I can talk to my students and recommend books. I've recently loved the Throne of Glass series. 8y
