I started the audiobook of The Final Six tonight while working on one of my diamond paintings. It's good so far I can't wait to get a chance to listen to more tomorrow.

The Runaways find out that someone is a mole but who could it be? Good storyline for this volume of The Runaways. The illustrations are great!

Enjoyed this one as much as the first! The Runaways are still on the run and trying to figure out what's next for them. First they have to worry about their evil parents, mutants, and aliens now what have they run into when they help a mysterious boy.

One of my book groups is having a graphic novel/comics month so I picked this one to read first. I absolutely loved the show Sleepy Hollow that it is based on. However this just didn't have the same feel to it that I was hoping it would.

I had no idea what to expect going into this but I actually really enjoyed it. I didn't see that twist towards the end coming at all. The format of it being written as letters to who she hopes will be her future lawyer was really well done. I do have a few questions left but overall it was an interesting thriller.

I was browsing the ebooks from my library and I was excited to come across these Goosebumps Graphic Novels. As a child I was obsessed with Goosebumps. The first is called Creepy Creatures and has the stories: The Werewolf of Fever Swamp, The Scarecrow Walks At Midnight and The Abdominal Snowman of Pasadena. I loved that each story is illustrated by a different artist. My favorite was the werewolf story.

I'm always a sucker for a book with random facts and tidbits. This one did not disappoint. Unmentionable gives insight on what life was like for the women of the Victorian era past the surface of what is usually talked about in history. It's written in a funny sometimes snarky tone and will definitely make you happy to be a modern woman.

I really enjoyed the audiobook of The Loneliest Girl in the Universe! For sure one of my top reads this year so far. The way the book is worked well in that format I think. The story had me sucked in from the beginning. I had to know what was going to happen next! The author does a great job of making you feel the way Romy does in the book. Also I liked that the author portrays the teen very realistically.

I finally sat down to finish this book and boy am I glad I did. I've been reading it off and on for months. It kept getting pushed aside for others. I ended up loving the book Hunted though. I definitely recommend it if you like fairytale retellings. I think this is the first one I've read of Beauty & The Beast. I enjoyed the story switching between perspectives so that you can see more of the mindset of Beast and how it changes through the story.

I enjoyed Of Triton as much as the first book of the Syrena Legacy series. It is a fun easy read for the summer. Mermaids or Syrena in this case make you want to go see the ocean and all of its wonders. I think Galen and Emma are sweet together. I did get a bit sad about an event at the end but don't want to spoil that here. Luckily there is another book of this series.

The TV show IZombie is one of my favorites so when I saw it was inspired by this comic/graphic novel series I decided to check it out. The first thing you learn is they aren't very much alike at all but that made it interesting to read. The second stand out thing about this IZombie is that the art work is incredible! I will definitely have to check out the rest of the volumes of IZombie when I can.

This is one of those times where I think the story would have been really good in regular book format. As a graphic novel Piper felt kind of rushed. I tend to like retellings though I have to say this is the first one I've read that was a retelling of the story of the Pied Piper. I did like that in this story it showed what made Piper do the things he did in the end and the kinder side of him when he is with the character Maggie.

I picked up this one because poetry was one of the genres for a challenge in a book club I'm in. Poetry is just usually not my cup of tea to be honest but I liked some of them in this collection. I liked how they were separated into their different categories like love, friendship, and motherhood. My favorite section was the last one titled How To Live.

I didn't know what to expect from this book but it was interesting. It was a quick read and I enjoyed the short chapters. I liked how the author kept switching between current day to when the sister's father was alive. Usually I don't like that but it did help the reader learn more about the sister's past.

I have to say I really enjoyed this book! It was a random pick off the shelf from my last library visit. I don't think I've really read many books about Mermaids or Syrena as they are called in this series. The last line of the book makes me wish I immediately had the next one in the series to start on. Now I want to find more mermaid related books to check out.
